Is there any reason why someone couldn't take like two twin sheets that are awsome, but to small for your needs and sew them together to make a super sized sheet? What about with thin ish baby quilts? like meaning would it be short sheeted feel funny look odd not sew up properly,or be to thick. Any practicality issues.:)

my question is why? Why not go to the goodwill or Target and get some sheets, or Ross/Tj Maxx and get seconds... why go through this much trouble?

Any practicality issues.:) Two twins make a double/full size, sewn lengthwise. There are no considerations other than trying to get the seams to lie flat. If they are fitted, you'd have to remove the edging on the midpoints and flatten out the corners...perhaps cut some off. Be sure to use an overlocking stitch on the midpoint seam, b/c there will probably be a lot of pressure in that area.:) You could always just get great baby flannelette, etc. at a fabric store and make your own. If you don't feel confident making the fitted sheets, you could use those elasticy clasps used to keep corners tight...do you know what I mean? They grip on with garter type clasps.

Julia, because I'm into the baby prints, and I do mean baby stuff like authentic baby blankies an nobody sells baby blankets in the sizes I want. Plus als o there's a huge adult baby fetish thing out there.

Feline, if you're a good shopper, you can find good quality sheets for $15-40, and save yourself a lot of work. Nevermind, after I saw the baby part. [8D] M

Grinning at blk I know about good sheets cheap we have an Anna's linnens here and things are severly discounted. 200 dollar bedding sets are 99 and 400 thread count sheets are 200 instead of 400. Not that I buy them I use sheet sets from the house when I need to but I'd dearly love some soft comfy sheets they just dun stay on my bed lol.
