MistressTexas -> RE: SAFE, SANE & CONSENSUAL..... (9/28/2006 10:19:41 PM)

Actually.. About 2 years ago, I heard a really nasty horror story (probably an urban legend, but meh) around the strip clubs. Apparently a dancer ripped her hand open doing pole tricks (this happens pretty often with the blisters we get),  and she happened to have Hep C. She didnt bother wiping down the pole or anything, and consequently, some other dancer grinding on the pole naked, got blood on her rather delicate areas. And I'm sure we can all see where that went. Before the flames begin, Yes I realize that this is probably an urban stripper legend. However it did get me thinking about just how icky some of thses girls are. So I started wiping down the pole with purell after every show, and refusing to do anything on the floor without a blanket. I also started getting std tests every 2 months while I was dancing. Never got anything, but it was a weight off my mind.

If it's an urban legend, it's not a widely known one.

YOU were a pole dancer?

I never heard this story but back several years ago I was involved with a dancer at a club here. When I went to see her I ntocied the many of the  dancers, my girl included, cleaned the pole before doing tricks on it. It turned out to be some sort of hand sanitizer and I decided to stay well clear of the ones who didn't seem to care about such.

I'm guessing the Hep C virus would have a hard time spreading that way but I'm pretty sure the same cannot be said for any of a variety of bacteria.

Both Master and i were tested for HIV twice at 3 month intervals and for all the other common STDs and got the results in writing to show each other before W/we had unprotected sex. That was at O/our own expense, although here in Australia if you go to a sexual health clinic it isn't overly expensive. The doctor i saw was particularly pleased that i was doing this well before a sexual encounter and wished everyone was equally enlightened. That was despite neither of U/us having particularly risky backgrounds (though i had more previous partners, neither of U/us were drug users) ... W/we just felt that being open and transparent about such things was an important way of developing trust. Any subsequent partners (esp for Me when I am Domming) are strictly safe sex practices only and I also ask subs for medical and sexual histories.

greetings masterrocker

what a wonderful and thoughtful question to ask everyone clean and test me but i wonder for those who bring others into this love nest i called it how to they make sure they are clean do they go to the doctor's and make sure i think that is a problem when you bring someone into you fold then i think std' come in so i think to keep it realy safe play with one another not with many bdsm folk. i am very picky and i do not answer profile that ask if i would have my feamle dommes join in or he wants to serve others this is the one thing i do i wil not have it one man  domme

take care mons

I know this is a downer; but I am curious to know how many test their slaves, or ask in depth questions to subs, about sexual backgrounds, histories, etc.. How many get tested themselves; and/or what precautions do you take.

Every 6 months like clockwork.  There is no 'down part' about being safe and having the papers to prove it.

first, we don't believe in or practice "SSC"....now that that disclaimer's outta the way...

before claiming me as his, my Master and i got to know one another rather well, sharing past experiences, sexual and otherwise, in great detail. i had a very colorful sexual past, being submissive and never the type to say no, and for the same reason i'd often had sex without any sort of protection, or occasionally birth control pills at best. He knew i'd had an STD in my past as well as 2 pregnancies. He also knew i got a complete STD checkup at a dr.'s about once a year (not nearly enough considering my sexual activity, but oh well).

the first time we were sexual together, it was a bit of a surprise to us both...completely unexpected and unplanned. so no protection was used, and no neither of us were tested beforehand as we never planned on having a sexual relationship. now that we are Master and slave, he as Master is obviously free to have sex with whomever he pleases....He has told me he uses protection for intercourse with others, and i believe this. He also has me used by other Dominants on a regular basis (usually weekly), and procedures vary depending on the particular Dom or situation. a select few are permitted "free reign" of me, which means they may use all my holes without protection, i may drink their cum or piss, they may beat me, etc. they may have free reign either because my Master likes and trusts them, or as a personal punishment to me for some misbehavior. with most though condoms are required for vaginal or anal sex, and they may not release any fluids in my mouth. and these days he demands most to be tested regularly.

Daddy and i are tested together about once every 3 months.

Most pap smears test for syphilis and gonorrhea, but not herpes and genital warts unless requested. Make sure you know what you're being tested for!

No, pap smears are a test that looks for abnormal cells. It's primary purpose is to detect cancerous or pre-cancerous cells. In some instances the results could indicate the detection of other bacterial, fungal or viral infections, but the test is not designed for the diagnosis of those conditions. Unless you specifically ask to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases at your yearly exam....you are not being specifically tested for them.

empresschaos -> RE: SAFE, SANE & CONSENSUAL..... (11/22/2006 3:08:49 PM)

Ok.... what I meant was that typically, when your ob does a pelvic exam to test for STDs (or STIs if you're PC), she is typically not testing for herpes, genital warts, etc. Many women believe they're getting the gamut when they step into the stirrups, and it just isn't so.
