Popeye, even though I have had too much wine to do the threads I want to do this evening I think I can explain this one. While I am no fan of online relationships of any sort and don't want one, nor do I think they are any substitute for the real thing after watching and reading I think that they do have a place. I think that there are a HUGE number of people that are either curious and unable, for one reason or another to take it real time OR just using it as a springboard to a real time physical relationship. Also, though I, along with many others I am sure, have been burned by these sort....... I have to laugh at the phrasing like fake, poser, etc etc. It sucks to be on the recieving end of a promise of something real and have that person disappear but I also know that there is a real person typing those words. No one can know why they disappear, what is going on for certain in their daily life. Perhaps their reality is such that the only way they can have even a shadowy semblance of a real, hands on, physical experience is thru the internet dreamland. Even though I am fortunate enough to say I seek nothing, I have to say that more than my sympathy for those that get burned because they are looking for a real time partner and got betrayed, I have to feel more so for those that are in such pain that they must resort to lies and games to fulfill in whatever way, the hunger, the richness, the amazing experiences that those of us that are able to physically experience it, do. I just cannot imagine what misery a person must go thru to be so attached and addicted to an internet connection. To be so hungry that they thoughtlessly hurt others to satisfy that hunger in them......it is tragic.
