i could f-ing scream today! im out of bed- but it is as tho a knife is in my back joggling around. i need a shave and a bath- this is my life for the past 2 days. i wish i could push a button and make it go away.

yes- i have pills i can take. i believe in choice.

the barometer is c hnaging and i have to be carefull at stairs as i could fall down.

i hate this reality of me., i thought i was done with to much of this. i caould never marry- im married to my pain levels.

im not snapping out of it as fast as i should. that is abit concerning.

dumb me got my hair cut too short. so now i am cold too. i had the oddest night mares.

im afraid the pills wont work- this is why i wont take them all the time.

my chiro is out of town. to scrath my nose wash a dish HURTS.

the knife in my back moves more.   maybe this is god punishing me for my past. maybe it is happenstance.

i should shave bath, make up some eggs as i havent eaten right. eggs have protien.

im grubby...and i wasnt raised taht way. i was raised to ahve self respect.

somehow maybe if i post this the act will get my azzz in gear. so thats why im posting it.

i once had a friend worse off in pain then i explian to me a theory- pain is good. it warns you to STOP-......

at least the dog is fed and has been out. im so not alive today.

well done for sorting out the dog..........pain like you are suffering is a terrible thing (have suffered sciatica on occasions), but you deserve to feel proud about making sure your dependents aren't losing out. Iechyd da i Chi (good health to you)

I'm with Cuddle - take the pills! I have had arthritis through my spine for the last twenty years, and without the pills I would have done nothing and be now doing nothing. Sure I'm spaced sometimes, but is that a bad thing next to insufferable, ongoing, pointless pain?

Pain is inevitable...suffering is optional. I understand your reluctance to take the medication...and yes, it's your choice not to. However, there are consequences to choices. If you don't want to take the meds, be prepared for pain. Perhaps there is a happy balance? A smaller dosage?

Mind over matter is what I've alway's believed.  Though there is a point when you do need to break down and take some help.

I've had chronic headaches for over 20 year's now.  Always refused to take anything with narcotics within it.

I suffered for year's with the pain.  So, I totally understand.  Yet there are times when you need help.

So take the help just don't overdue it.

I had such severe pain I couldn't sleep lying down.  I wore 'hoodies' all the time because the weight of my arms was too much to bear...I put my hands in the front pouch.  When I finally had surgery and two vertabrae fused, I woke up pain free and have been 100% ever sense.  Who knows, maybe surgery would help?

hey all- a MUCH beter day today.

i got plenty of sleep- now that pain level is realistic I can resume my regiment.

what happened was sorta a black out type thing.  no arguing would have worked- as the body was gonna TAKE what it needed.  i wanta get nutrients back into me then ill take my pills. ild campare it to a litttle kid that says im going to stay up all night- then falls asleep. we get a little older and we learn.

the worst is over- i had endless days likethe past few early on. ouch.

*smiles* *pours some coffee*

Pain i am well acquainted with it.  I have arthritis, and spinal stenosis in the same location in my back with arthritis in several areas.  Am alergic to asprin and have been chewed out by my Dr. for not taking the pain meds as i am suppose to which is a daily lower dose.  Only problem is i hate being spaced and the side effects are not overly pleasant.  Sooooo i take them when i feel an increase in the pain level even if it is slight watch the weather and increase when it is going to change.  I am opting for quality of life and without the pain meds some days i would just stay in bed except even that hurts.  Learn to listen to your body so that when it first starts increasing in pain take a lighter dose.  This seems to help since the higher the level of pain the more difficult it is to get under control.

There are also the non chemical approaches. They control, alter, heal, and such using the electricity of one's body. Long ago was the TENS unit for players who blew out their knees or what nots.... now the great - great - granddaughetr is the SCENAR unit. i know a bit about it, i own one model and hope to begin using it soon with O/others to control, eliminate T/their pain. i often said-  until i am 10 days dead, stiff and stinky? i want a second opinion. - So i do a little western, a little eastern and  more.... best of luck to E/everyone that suffers from negative pain.
