I think Longarms and NastyDaddy hit the nail right on the head. More than once. First, the OP was obviously distasteful, venemous spew disguised as a supposedly innocent question. Second, policemen put everything on the line to serve and protect, including their families and their lives. It is only fitting that their departments want to honor a fallen comrade in such a fashion. The military does the same thing. The news? They only care about what sells. Sensationalism. They do not give a shit about facts. They do not care about people. They care about money. That is all. A police funeral? Someone shot down by a nasty criminal? That sells papers. I have been arrested, charged and convicted of an offence I did not commit. So yeah, I have a personal reason to dislike police (and the justice system). I have to do two years probation for something I did not do. I have seen the system abused on many occasions. However, it is unfair to paint the entire regimine with one brush. Of course if you like you can always see what life is like without police. I would like to see you bitch and moan then. *sigh* [8|]
