I know of several people who use figging for punishment. So, to each their own but everyone does not like it.

Personally, it does absolutly nothing for me. A little burn that brings nothing more than discomfort and disappointment that there's not more.

It will not work quickly on what has already been absorbed in the skin, but it will lessen the burning sensation to a degree.

The good thing about the figging over the warming gels is once the root is removed the sensation instantly goes away. Much more managable than messy gel.

The first time we figured it wasn't prepared correctly so the next time we put it in the plastic bag to "ferment", then used it - same thing - no burning effect. Dammit... I told them to call it "Ginger Rooting"!!! OK, now I see Google needs a little figging.... And by the way, isn't a punishment either something undesireable, or the absence of something desireable?
