I imagine to a degree, it is, because I've seen married couples who have profiles at CM where they are both Dominant. I am not sure how often they "play" together with eachother, and sometimes I've seen them advertising here for submssives to "play" with, and-or live with them.

A dear friend of mine is Dominant and so is His wife of 30 years.  They are partners in life and love and respect each other completely.  What i understand is that They made the decision long ago to not share a submissive, perhaps because it would cause the same kind of conflicts of any two Dominants trying to share the same sub.  So, yes, it is entirely possible for two Dominants to have a happy, loving and productive relationship.

Absolutely!  Scooter and Jewel are the first couple that come to my mind.

I'd honestly love to find this kind of relationship of equals with a Dom, and a slave to serve us both.

I have no problems with it. I respect her and vice-versa. Latley it seems as though the ego-trip is getting out of hand. We seem to have stepped away from each other. I was looking to see what others thought. Maybe it's just a thing with the stars and planets not being in the right house.

I might be off base with this opinion but I would imagine that a sucessful D/D relationship requires ALOT of honest communication and respect for one another. Otherwise it will be as you suggested, a battle of ego's with both parties losing.

Yup, my aunt and her husband are both dominants.  They are but one example among many.

Back to my old phrase- if you can imagine it, someone out there is doing it and very happy about it.

You are absolutely right, we are very open and honest with our communication and truly respect what each other says, feels and believes. I won't say there isn't any competion between us... but it's fun and light hearted. As an example... and the best one by far... we played a game of checkers once. We played until there were positively no moves left and neither of us gave up a single checker... it was great and we still laugh about it. We jokingly say "Nooooo, there's no competion there at all" lmao.

But you truly have to be able to put your ego aside and talk openly about everything... and I do mean everything. In doing so you don't step back from each other, instead you embrace each other and celebrate the differences.

They are so cute together, i'll be the first to admit that sometimes these "domly" negotiations give me the grins, lol, until they notice and gang up on me.

Oh no help! Woe is me......

Ive been in D/D relationships that have worked beautifully.  The trick is respecting one another and not getting into constant power struggles.  Least it was for me. I have also had relationships with other dominants where we spent most of the time butting heads.  So, its a case by case thing. But yes, they CAN work and they can be damn fun.

I was in a relationship with a Dominant partner for 4 years. We had a wonderful relationship and welcomed many submissives into our home for us both to play with. Good times, good times.
