popeye1250 -> What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 7:12:18 PM)

I've been posting on these boards for about 2-3 months now and for someone who's been involved in B&D S&M, M/s lifestyles for 18 years I've learned a Tremendous amount in here.
Pony Play, new types of gear, and a whole lot about the psychological aspects of the lifestyle.
What have you learned in here that you didn't know about or only knew a little about before comming in here?

I've learned something new just about everyday I've been here....The most important thing I have learned is that WIIWD works different with different people, its just not supposed to be one way. To me, thats what matters the most...of course, I've learned alot of other things, but that is the most important to me.

I've learned that some share my view of the lifestyle and had my first real exposure to things Gorean. Also learned about all the various types of people that inhabit the boards, from the wonderful to the 'Want to erase them from humanity'.

I have learned that there is much to learn.

Each one of us has different opinions, different ways of doing things.

I also learned that when someone really needs serious advice, even the biggest jokester will come to the rescue.

Being  a newbit to WIITWD..I have found collarme to be one of the best ways to learn about the diversity of any form of D/s M/s BDSM etc etc..it has helped me to understand more of who I am and my place or fit in this life.It also has enpowered me to go in with at least a modicum of information and confidence to know the right questions to ask to at least know shit from shineola....Tempting

michaelGA2 -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 8:15:32 PM)

Lotus, what is that site all about?

HerCowboy -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 8:35:49 PM)

What It Is We Do? Having read tons before coming to CM I have heard of lots of things I am now seeing something of. I read the code of the odalesque so I would have fulfilled one womans' requirement before being allowed to send her a message, as stated in her profile. Plenty of reading to do here and plenty of leads to more reading, most assuredly. Some of it is even pretty good.
Every day brings more new learnings and more chances to compound knowledges, regardless of how long they have been known.

juliaoceania -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 8:47:47 PM)

I learned about "furries", sweater fetishes, being used exclusively as a human toilet

DiurnalVampire -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 8:53:19 PM)

I have learned that once you find what your looking for, the number of people interested in you skyrockets

hmmmmmm, maybe i could use this to my advantage

LOL

MistressLorelei -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 8:56:16 PM)

I have gained a new respect for people in the lifestyle who have interest in a different relationship dynamic than I do.  I came here without the ability to understand the attraction of a non-female dominated relationship.  It has been nice to see all different kinds of people interact at different levels.  I think I have discovered that if this were real-life, some of the people I would end up befriending would be those who I never would have expected.

Oh, and furries.... until CM, I had never heard of a furry.

Edited to add:   I was typing this while Julia posted her furry comment.   I have also learned that quite often, I agree with what Julia says.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 8:58:52 PM)

Ive also learned that you can find what you are looking for when youve given up the search.  I found my boy by accident, when I had decided I was no longer looking for anything.

MistressWolfen -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 9:04:00 PM)

I learned abut something called "cosplay" from Lorelei today.

Chaingang -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 9:05:06 PM)

I've learned that it's impossible for a thread about a "full human toilet" to die - ever!

michaelGA2 -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 9:10:07 PM)

ewwwwwwwwwwwwww....i know what you mean

mstrjx -> RE: What have you learned in C.M. (9/1/2006 9:10:15 PM)

I learned about that whole penis blow-up thing with the saline solution.  I had never heard about that before.  (You can still color me aghast on that one.)

But I've seen the female masks.
