Sometimes I read these posts and get so mad!!!  And then I have to remind myself that everyone is entitled to their own opinions (even if they are WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!)  lol

Anyone else feel this way?

For me to get mad ... at a screen name of some person that I have never met ... is the same as that person controlling me and my reactions.

Just remember.

Your opinion is a lot more important to you than it is to  me.  (I just LOVE that)

I never get angry at someone elses opinions. Everyone has them, and if we all agreed, it would be terribly boring.  Only thing that ever pisses me off is when someone tells me MY opinion is WRONG becasue it doesnt coincide with theirs.  Thats the beauty of opinions... they cant be wrong.

where did you get those shoes?  getting mad at the computer is like road rage you can scream and cuss but does not make the person get out of the fast lane going 40 or change the persons mind I called those goofy moments and let it go.

Ohhhh nooooooo!!!!! There is NOTHING anyone from this site could say or do to make me angry! That would be purely silly. I have laughed ALOT, disgusted at others behaviour, I have even felt genuinely empathetic towards a few, but mad, oh hell no!!!
If you are giving people that are online the power to upset you then I would suggest turning the computer off. There is enough stress in life without adding to it on here.

Yeah i used too.. sometimes.. eek.. shss.. dun tell anyone.. my feelings get hurt.  Which tends to be more personal stuff.

As for the general chit chat that goes on here.. naaaaaaaaaah why get mad?  I read down alittle bit and some one mentioned the things that are important.  Now while i love the ppl on this site (generally speaking lolol) and i think this is a great site.. its not important to me.

Sum it up, in 2 years, what will it matter?

in 5 years, what will it matter?

Hell i even look at ppl like that sometimes.  Will i know this person in 2 years?  Prolly not.. so who cares?  Who cares what they think or what they say.  Granted i'll even go a step further and ask myself  "does what they say have ANY impact on my life?  Do they have any impact on my life?"  If the answer is no...... why should i care?

They are JUST words after all.  Granted words can get to you.  But put the words in perspective.  Even look at how you are viewing the words.  As word usage is all perspective.

For example.. if i call up a friend and when she answers i say "you whore!"

or i walk up to some girl walking down the road and say "you whore!"

i bet i'd get different reactions and its not because the words are different or how i am using it is different.  Its how they are being viewed.

Just like the word slut..

It is simply just how you are viewing the words and if you dun want to get upset.. view it different.

(of course this is generally speaking.. sometimes we ALL flare up and get upset)

Why bother? On occasion, yes, I have felt that way. But getting mad at someone usually doesn't change their opinion, in my experience. Or get them to agree yours could be just as valid as theirs. It usually only makes them cling to theirs more strongly. About the only thing I've ever found that works for me is to relay my own experience in the same circumstances they are referring to - if I've had any. What are they going to do? Tell you you personally didn't have a particular experience(s)?

- Susan

Hey Susan.. thats a really good point.  I'd love to add too it as you could go great distances with it.. but its getting late and i'm running out of time!  Durrrrrr

actually everyones opionon IS valid.  As opionons are not hard facts, they're facts based on experience, ie perspective.

Live and let live!

Plus what makes one person "more" right then another?  Whose to say you BOTH arent wrong (or right?)

I don't get mad, but in the political threads mostly, I have many times thought to myself  'how in the world come someone think that'.  When posters resort to name calling instead of sticking to the topic (or any topic).... I find that unnecessary and a lame way to debate or discuss.

I am probably a person that some people get "mad" at as I sometimes have strong opinions... but that's okay, if you don't like what I have to say, chances are I'm likely not fond of your opinions either, but I will try to respect and appreciate that  you have one.. whether it's wrong , or not. :)

Sure! Sometimes it's reading left-wing, your money is my money, conspiracy theory wackiness, and sometimes it's right-wing, prudish, arrogance.
*See? Told you I was heartless*

When you live in a society or a group, the strong have a societal obligation to care for the weak, the sick, the disabled and the needy.  Those
that don't need to be kicked out.  I believe in Capitalism, not Communisim, but Capitalism can only thrive when the strong care for the needy.
When they don't, the result is S. American and Central American style dictatorships.  What made Western democracies so successful was
political stability that resulted from societies caring and taking care of all their members.

I really don't get mad at someone elses opinion.... what gets me mad...or tickled...... is them trying to me i'm wrong with my thinking. I sit here and get to laughing about the catch 22 conversations sometimes now.... I'm right and you're wrong..... it gets funny more so now a days. Others opinions vary from mine.. that's all good... but to tell me mine is wrong... fuck'em... LOL

What angers me is some of the scenarios written about by some.  If they are unsafe I get very angry.  However I do keep in the forfront this is a story retold by one who maybe truthful or not, looking for reaction or drama.

I tend to not get mad with online as there is so much room for untruths and creative writting.

I try not to get mad in real life, if getting mad will help the situation and make it better than I would get really mad.  If something bothers me enough then I try to right it.  If it is something I have no ability to make right then I can do nothing.

In regard to opinions, everyone has one, they dont all agree, thats what makes us human.
