The article is a typical smear job... nothing new there. Al Gore continues to devote an abundance of time, effort and money to environmental causes to help our failing to thrive environment, as well as raise awareness that global warming, is indeed a problem. Among other things, he does own a hybrid vehicle, he recycles, but most importantly, he recognizes that we all need to do more to protect our environment. He has never suggested reverting back to the Pioneer days, but to conserve where you can, and then continue to conserve more. This is what he is doing.... that's hypocrisy? Instead of someone who recognizes a problem, and supports a solution, we have a President who downplays the environment and the scientific evidence of the damage we (collectively) have caused to the world we live in.... for his own self-serving war, and big oil agenda. I suppose its good business for him.... alternate fuel resources, or stricter ways to keep something like... oh say... oil, from leaking all over our water, land and animals, wouldn't be good for his own pocket, or those of the big business he stands for. Why should we beat up on Al Gore for trying to make a difference, because he may not have his home set up for wind energy.... yet, and let's support a man who continues to support cutting the funding for renewable energy, energy efficiency, environmental research, endangered wildlife, wildlife habitats, forests, agriculture research and education for safer, healthier food for all of us, etc. We need oxygen, and to breath healthy air, and to have safe food and water before we need anything else. Al Gore supports making all of these necessities readily available, and Bush supports cutting funding and support for all of them.
