Yes, I do think that another party could win due to the fact that people are so fed up with Democrats and Republicans both.

It hasn't always been Repubs and Dems, I think it's about time for a new party system that isn't so grosely in bed with each other for monetary gains.

Add "power" to the co-bed equation and I think you've got it.

I thought that was understood when I said "monetary gains."  Money is power.

Mm. My mistake. I forget how powerful money is. I'm hoping for the reemergence of the Love Generation.

I really detest that 'wasting your vote' reason for not voting for 3rd arty candidates, although I admit recently I have shifted from voting Libertarian to voting Democrat only because they seem to be the most plausible opponents to a Republican party which has started to repel me.

Really, I wish folks would divide up more evenly because I'm sure a lot of Reps and Dems would find more in common with the Libs and Greens. I'm sure we'd all be better off and less cynical about our reprentatives as a whole if ...

... all the folks who were fiscally conservative and socially liberal migrated to the Libs ...

... all the folks who were fiscally liberal and morally liberal migrated to the Greens ...

... leaving the Reps to truly represent their constituency who are fiscally conservative and socially conservative ...

... of course I realise I'm leaving the Dems with the truly unpleasant folks who are fiscally liberal and moreally conservative, but that's Tipper Gore for ya.
