1)  Where are my glasses?

I know they're here...I know they're in a logical place...what I'd very much like to know is...why is that place not singularly logical (and known) to me?

2)  I'm not at all sure why the "serving size" of every label has no connection whatsoever to the amount I eat...moreover...why is the calorie count of a serving size more closely approximated to that which an ant would eat in roughly 387.794 years and...why is what an ant would eat in roughly 387.794 years the actual equivalent to what I should eat (according to the "federal amounts you should eat" survey) in less than 2 hours (or without some favorable comport of grapefruit)?

3)  Where are my glasses?  (We may have covered this recently...if so...forgive me...I'll get back to you on this).

4)  I used to be a Republican (fine...I'll just stop right now so you can beat me...I'll just stand right here....go ahead...I bleed slowly)...but...I learned a few things over the years (and a few people along the way showed me their perspective....and I admitted I was...wr...wr....wr....

Misinformed.

So....here's my question:

Were you ever (REALLY) wrong? (Like...huuuuge)?

Did you ever just fuck up BIG TIME??????

Hell yes! it was and is part of my learning curve.. I don't make mistakes or have problems. Politicians have problems and make mistakes. I have disasters and make clusterfucks.. At lkeast I can role up my sleaves and get to the fixing stage then....

Now where the fuck did I leave my glasses????????

Glasses....check on top of your head, I often find mine there after searching everywhere for them (actually I rarely lose them anymore, as I can't see shit without them).

Fuck-up big time?   in the imortal words of Stone Cold Steve Austin: HELL YEAH!!! I am a damned candidate for the Guinness book when it comes to major screw-ups.

Nah. No disasters. Unavoidable self-induced learning experiences. Yeah.

Whose glasses are these? I can't see a thing!

Oh. Wait a sec. They're mine.

God ... yes ... I have messed up huge.  The pathetic thing is that I keep doing it.  Slow learner, me.

When I was married, my husband wanted to have sex less and less often, and finally didn't want to *at all.*  He was working in another city, and staying with friends of ours in the pagan community.  I got this idea into my head that he was sleeping with someone else.  I was depressed and angry and ... lots of other feelings.  I was pretty chilly to him.

Then he got diagnosed with late-stage cancer.  Oops.

And I had spent months being bewildered and shitty.  It really took a while for me to forgive myself on that one.

Or did you mean a different BIG TIME fuck up?

I'm so blind I once lost my glasses in my apartment for a few hours and did a Louis Braille (pantomiming gently patting surfaces to find glasses) to locate them again.  Now I just keep them on my face.

Fuck up?  ME????   Yeah, I've even made the same mistake twice (I try not to do that anymore).

And how the hell did my glasses wind up in the refrigerator?

I married the wrong person, I opted out of law school, and wish I hadn't.  Nothing really mind blowing, but I have made lots of little mistakes which can alter your life in a big way... but regretting them too much is the biggest mistake of them all.

I'm glad I wear contacts... I don't have to keep track of any glasses.  Now where did I put my keys?  <sighs>

I hid them in the fridge, behind the yogurt.

I spent 20 minutes this morning looking for my keys because somebody (not me) took them from my spot and put them on the key holder.

And, yep, I've fucked up.  Nothing illegal, but things I wish I could go back and do over.
