Hi All, After reading so darned much about profiles and the "shoulds" and "should nots", of the marketing trade..lol...i have a question... Anyway, my motivation for having a profile on here is to bascially meet and hopefully make new friends (or get aquainted with old ones) in real time fashion, building a network of friends, enjoying others who are different from myself and learning, etc., and increasing my opportunities through networking, with no other expectations, and just go with the flow. So my question is, how many of you have actually made new real life friends from the folks on this site, and if you have, how long have those connections lasted, or did they just peeter out over time?

I have not made real life friends from this site I have met with those from here but it doesn't last... where I have met My dear friends have been from local groups.

I have met a few men from here, one I dated for a few months, the others I had no interest in. I spoke to more on the phone, but most were either too far away or the phone call did not go well enough for me to meet them. I have not met anyone just as friends, men or women, even though that would be nice.

I haven't been here very long, but so far, I haven't met anyone from the site and rather doubt I will.

I've met a lot from here. None were what they were here. Though on the other side of the coin a friend of mine met a dom here. They've been together 6 month's so far.

With the exception of a select few, most I have met from this site have been unsuitable for me—even as friends. If I am disappointed or unimpressed with anyone I've met, they are reduced to footnotes, or acquaintances, at best. Keeping old or inadequate structures in my life is something I consider counter-productive and energy vampiric. I don't mind sharing my views on forums like this, but some take my participation as a sign of hyper altruistic passion, where I exist solely for dispensing advice in a sort of "BDSM Hotline" format. Having said that, I suppose it's easy enough to put it this way: If I've come to the point of spending time with anyone in the real world, they are most likely serving a purpose, or will be soon.

Some have an ebb and flow like all relationships, some have vanished, and others I have no idea how long they may last, but given the years they have already, I suspect they will last as long as I do.

Only one totally misrepresented themselves but it didn't take long to pull away the facade. Other than that deliberate petering out, we see the others fairly regularly. In fact we'll be seeing some of them tonight at a munch. It's a bit of a trip for you, but anyone else is the neighborhood is welcome to join us. We've developed a pretty good network of friends ranging from casual to intimate. We hope to meet many more.

Hi Raiken, I met my pup here on CM. I collared him last December and have since moved to the Savannah area to be closer to him. I have also met a few others from here. All have been really nice and I am still in contact with most of them.

I have made several great friends from this site. When I first joined two almost three years ago I was looking for the exact same thing you were. I met a great group of people throughout MI, OH,IL and even a few other states when I was in MI and now that I am in OK I'm meeting a whole new set of people.

I've only been on here a little over a year but I've met a few really nice people face to face from on here and still freinds with all of them. The most recent meeting was this weekend and again i lucked out and met another great person. [:D] As for how long any of them will last, I'm hoping for a very long time but only time will tell S

I met my slave/wife here. I have also met a few others that continue to be friends, and we are hoping to meet others in the future.

i've made several good friends here.one friendship started out in a catfight. the master is history but she and i remain freinds and some of which i have met in a r/t settings. my sissychucklesis my best friend. we met here and have laughed and cried together as we walk our path. as to the marketing. i'm not really seeking anyone right now.just learning still and gaining back my strength. i had to take my picture off.had some damn strange proposals of latechuckles

I have three people I met here I still chat and email often. Two are long distance and one is local, but we've never met. They've been around to help me bounce my thoughts off of and figure things out. They have been good friends, wanting more from me, but never requiring it as terms of friendship. Strangely enough, I met my closest friend (girlfriend actually) on a vanilla dating site masquerading. How surprised we both were when we confessed our other interests.

General Reply: Ive met a bunch of people from online venues; males and females, friends, and some who became more than friends. From this site in particular, I met two males, both last year. One who I still maintain a friendship with. Im not a 'munch' person or a dungeon person, or a club person, but I think it would be cool to form friendships with others who share my bent.

I've met some people from this site. It was great to meet BitaTruble and some of the other people from here. I've also found people who are in the local community on here....and one who works with me, which was a wee bit of a shock. A nice one though.
