I am not sure where you guys are getting your scientific information. Here are two relevant sources. NASA Overview On Global Warming:http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Library/GlobalWarming/ UC-San Diego Volcanologist's Page On Effects Of Volcanoes On Greenhouse Gases:http://www.geology.sdsu.edu/how_volcanoes_work/climate_effects.html Note the passage that states "Volcanic eruptions can enhance global warming by adding CO2 to the atmosphere. However, a far greater amount of CO2 is contributed to the atmosphere by human activities each year than by volcanic eruptions. Volcanoes contribute about 110 million tons/year, whereas other sources contribute about 10 billion tons/year." That's roughly 100:1 importance - meaning, volcanoes are insignificant. And yes, I *am* a physical scientist.
