Trump proposed Putin's position verbatim to Zelensky. Told him to give up not only conquered territory in the war, but more land that was even conquered.
The ultimate appeasement of Putin, worse than Neville Chamberlain in the Sudetenland.
Keep in mind a few things:
Putin signed and then broke two previous agreements:
1. To respect Ukrainian sovereignty within its existing borders (which included Crimea)
2. To respect Ukrainian sovereignty within its existing borders (which excluded Crimea)
Trump talked about some huge win of "Article 5 LIKE" security guarantees for Ukraine.
Trump himself said Article 5 means nothing if he feels that a NATO country hasn't sufficiently contributed. He would let "Russia do whatever the hell it wanted."
Putin ATE his lunch.
BTW: Putin is a convicted murderer and war criminal, and Trump literally rolled out a red carpet for him, invited him into the beast and let his IL-26 land and takeoff safely from a US Military base in Alaska.
This is truly the weakest president this country has ever had.
Our allies can't rely on us, and our enemies don't fear us. They just laugh at us.
A million B-2's flying overhead doesn't change any of those facts.
