The problem is the Annenburg Foundation who raised $100 Million from a benefit concert, gave 100% of it to non-profits and 0% to the victims. I am glad that $250k went to the Pasadena humane society but they weren't being transparent.

It should have gone to ONE non-profit, whose SOLE responsibility was to distribute that cash directly to the victims, based on need.

When the donations traveled through the grapevines of the various "charities" a great deal of the money was siphoned off for CEO salaries, retirement funds, "handling fees", etc etc etc
