Nonetheless it hasn't changed fundamentally so far

It's hard to change stuff with so many factors against more people getting involved.

The sita has it's own problems.

Politics is more divided than ever, but talking about things doesn't seem to do much, except sell more blood pressure meds and THC gummies. Hearts and minds aren't being changed, if anything, people are doubling down on their beliefs. There aren't many new conversations going on, just fighting that we thought was settled half a century ago.

There are a few old-timers trying to encourage posting, but some people are fucking stupid. Jewish space laser stupid. And I don't even mean their political leanings, I mean fucking drooling idiots. Not only do their posts not encourage new members to join the conversation, but our posts reacting to them may come off as hostile, nsince there seems to be no moderators doing a damn thing to prevent it, so we take it upon ourselves.

What happened so far:
a) many old enthusiastic members and posters gone in covid times and during the 8 years' period when cchat was offline for no reason ever given
b) many old and new members obviouly discouraged by the endless approval proceedings so obviously not proceeding at all
c) whoever figures in the background not giving a fiddler's fart for cs and cc going down the drain - not even reading their own statistics, once millions of members and hundreds discussing on the forums.., yesterday I was the only one (1) active! No need to blame me - some others obviously aren't interested in anything here. [sm=soapbox.gif]

What could happen? Making background procedures transparent might improve some things, a reliable contact admin with timeframe when to get an answer and a solution might help too I guess - I remember a time when some members volunteered, seems unbelievable these days.[sm=afraid.gif]
