MasterObsidiann -> Was Tom Price correct in resigning? (9/30/2017 8:18:04 AM)

Theoretically he was shoved out the door by President Trump. A behemoth of a man & bold President (leads by example and all that) who campaigned marvelously, and successfully, on draining the swamp, so he may solely take up residence, perhaps!

Price said the tax payer would not be one dime out of pocket and promised to pay back the cost of every seat. He obviously balked at paying back the cost of every flight. There is a $900 000 disparity and bit of a deficit in his intentions. So should he divvy up the full wad?

The Health Secretary will always be fondly remembered for…being the fall guy for the behemoth failed Health Care Agenda complete debacle?

Cabinet Secretaries should be above approach. I am glad that just Tom Price is the only iffy one.

Please note every flight was approved before hand.

Of course they were approved. It's the job of the bureaucracy to stamp all of those and let the partisans sort it out.

Why dont you respond to the topic bounty??
Did Tom Price go over the top? They have all resigned...strange that...
A fiscal conservative would be all over this were it to be a dem admin.
Golfing trips and expensive trips were part of the immense interest in Obama..
This isnt just trump, its Price, Mnuchkin, Zinke, etc.
This was supposed to be the draining of the swamp?
How is it working in your estimation??
Not to mention this makes how many "resigned" so far in 8 months from the man who had all the "best people"
ps the number is 18? or 19?

I haven't paid enough attention to what went on with tom price and a couple of quick media reads isn't going to do the trick.

but the short of it is, if he abused his position, he does well to resign.

if he didn't abuse his position but acted within its boundaries, and people are nevertheless outraged about what he did, then some procedures need to be changed (which sounds like the case anyway) and one wonders then the worth of his resigning.

nah just wait till townhall reports it, sorry opines.
If you look at it, it wasnt an issue in the last administration, except to people who thought it was costing a lot of money to have the pres take trips. Not the people in the cabinet.

BlackSinMaster -> RE: Was Tom Price correct in resigning? (9/30/2017 1:24:37 PM)

perhaps it has no reality?

bounty44 -> RE: Was Tom Price correct in resigning? (9/30/2017 1:42:09 PM)

Milesnmiles -> RE: Was Tom Price correct in resigning? (9/30/2017 4:14:06 PM)

You forgot to give us the option in your poll of; Trump and his cronies have so tilted the playing field that there is no longer an objective standard for know what is correct conduct for those in our government.

JVoV -> RE: Was Tom Price correct in resigning? (9/30/2017 4:28:48 PM)

Tom Price is a fiscal conservative. Using government funds for chartered flights undermines all of his credibility.

I'm glad he's out anyway. The bastard has done everything to sabotage Obamacare in his position, completely disregarding the actual law.
