Keep in mind, that this is one person's "opening bid" on this issue.

I remember when Moloch posted about a gun control bill that something like seven Democrats signed, and insisted it was proof that they wanted to take away the rights of gun owners. In truth it was only proof that these people wanted to stay in office, and put forth a bill they new wouldn't pass, in order to garner support from the far left.

Until someone actually tries to ram this through Congress, and uses political weight to do it ... this is just more of the same ... Senator Frist playing to certain segments of the right.
