sure, your title comes from the famous line in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, who utters the phrase when he sees his friend Brutus joining in the killing. the essence of the phrase emerges from a sense of betrayal.
so the premise of your title is that fox news is trump's friend and by shepherd smith speaking negatively/critical of trump, its akin to his being stabbed in the back by a friend (fox news).
a few things, one is, shepherd smith is not fox news. neither is bill o'reilly or sean Hannity or anyone else who works there. setting aside the failure of your analogy on that point, the more important one is this:
despite what the ill-informed comrades here think, fox news is not a monolithic arm of the republican party. the hosts, guests and regular commentators run the gamut of social/political persuasion and given that, the idea that fox news is Donald trump's friend, and has always acted so up until this point, is absurd.
trump's been roundly criticized there before, and he'll be roundly criticized there again.
