And when I'm PAYING to hear their political viewpoints, that's one thing...but when I'm paying them to entertain me, that's another. Street wasn't being paid by me or anyone else to be there so yes, she can talk about whatever she wants. But...as noted in the article by that celebrated denizen of the right, Piers Morgan...her speech reeked of hypocrisy. Can you tell us the awards venues or entertainment venues where Eastwood or Norris or Heston said these things? You know, where they were being awarded for something other than their political views or paid for something other than their political views?

T^T Well, ok, but a lot of today's music approach came from the rise of the singer/songwriter during the 60s and protest against the Vietnam War and the establishment. That is still part of the roots of many of today's artists. You go to see Graham Nash, you know you aren't going to hear Trump's praises. Incidentally, I did see Nash recently (he has a new album), and he sang "Chicago." Other than that, he only mentioned the election (this was in October) when someone from the audience (obnoxiously, in my view) yelled out "Vote Hillary." And at the same time, I'm not going to be at a Ted Nugent concert to listen to that crap. But you know -- in Russia, members of Pussy Riot were imprisoned for protesting Putin. That's the beauty of the US . . . we get to publicly have those views. We don't perform as if Stalin is watching. The one thing I admire Pence for is his answer to his daughter asking why the audience booed him at Hamilton: "That's the sound of freedom." Or at least, it used to be, before we started repealing America.
