Well, I have been on both sides of the fence and I can honestly say that its much better to be female! Its not easier or harder, its just better. One gets to talk to men and to women as real people - guys, women are people too, (its true), and they speak so differently between themselves than they ever do to you. Equally gals, its unlikely you will ever experience the way that guys talk amongst themselves (or better said, the way they speak without saying anything!), and the competitive way they abuse one another.
Its not all advantages of course - at work one is rarely taken seriously as a female, even if one is company director. One is perceived as a target for every jack the lad who gets near, in real life and online. Unless one is if of a certain disposition, one is expected to cater for and do housework for males. But..... we dont have to pretend to be Rambo 24/7, we can talk to one another, we can cooperate without feeling a need for hierarchy, we can wear what we like, we can have our hair any way we like it, we can do anything and everything that a male can (but better of course), we can look after a baby and drive an HGV without getting a hang up about either.
I have never had PMT so on that subject I cant comment - but I can say that however much a curse that might be, it cant be much worse than the one which males live with - the misery of having to be male 24/7! Males will likely say its not misery, but to me it sure looks like it - a societal straitjacket and a sex drive that clouds everything one does. Thank goodness then boys that you have women around who are willing to comfort you.
There is every reason for men to be jealous of women - but please boys, dont put on the mascara and heels just yet. Just as you need females, so do the gals need you. You amuse us, compliment and complement us, care for us and love us. We need you to be men, even though it seems pretty miserable for you, and you lose your charm when you try not to be yourselves. And thats not counting the way you make us feel so superior!
