Then the govt. runs into Caesar's problem. (you ain't shit without the Army) Would the Army and law enforcement go along ?

The army followed jackson in defiance of the scotus. The national guard had no problems firing on the unarmed students at kent state.

It's completely legal to chew gum in my country. Only illegal to sell. Two different things.
But it's illegal to possess a firearm or sell. It's even illegal to have a pepper spray, although, easy enough to home make that. Basically all dangerous weapons are illegal!

"Infact I would encourage the US to instill death penalty for gun crimes "

In this state, and the states do not vary on their laws that much when it comes to things like this - is that if a death occurs during the commission of a felony FOR ANY REASON, the perpetrators are all jointly and severally guilty of first degree murder. I men if you are robbing the place from the back entrance and some guy has a heart attack up in the diningroom, you go down for first degree.

Just sayin'.

T^T

Termyn8or -> RE: For the sake of argument: (7/11/2016 1:42:41 AM)

"many states here don't have the death penalty period, and in the others it is hard to get death

Then there is that little thing called the Constitution. "

What ? In no way shape or form does the Constitution prohibit the death penalty.

What did you mean there ?

T^T

But the death penalty is only for murder. I am suggesting death penalty for using guns for the sake committing a crime. Whether the person killed or not, is not relevant. In my country, using a gun for crime, gives you death penalty. People are gonna freak out and be afraid to use their guns! Which is great!

No it is not and I have posted the law several times.
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

Only illegal to sell. Two different things.

As the cites I posted show they also have two different punishments.
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

And yet there are at least 3 firms in your country that if they are not actually manufacturing the weapons they are, at the very least, distributing them.

The Constitution does present a problem for people who wish to ban guns, that is where her talking about the death penalty came in.

Hmm, in harsh laws country, they took over a government office by force, using guns, to occupy it. Yea..., that's how harsh laws work. If the law says, don't use your gun for crimes, and to break laws, period. People will be outrage at the unfairness of harsh laws, but that means they will fear doing such things in the future.
I mean, do you want gun crimes to come down or not? This is a realistic solution. Nobody dies if nobody uses guns for crimes. If nobody uses gun for crimes, no more gun crimes, no more gun deaths.

I have never seen you post the specific law from our government website for chewing gum. You may have posted some third party foreign website, which was talking nonsense as most of your third party websites about Singapore does.

Why don't you read what other Singaporeans say. Chewing gum is 100% legal. Sale of chewing gum is illegal. That's how it works!

If it is illegal to sell gum isn't it illegal to buy it?

And it is a good law.

Depending on where you live in Singapore. Malaysia is 10 to 20 minutes away. You can just take a bus or a car or a train in. Very easy access. Many Singaporeans do day trips to go supermarket shopping there. Gas for cars are also three times cheaper in that country, so many drive in just to top up gas.
That's where we get gum. It's not illegal to purchase gums from other countries. Only from Singapore.

Well I am wondering how the congress could get away with changing the core constitutional requirement for ratification and otherwise wouldn't get the required no. of states to ratify the death of the 2nd amend. I do think your hypothetical dies a quick death jl.

None of this would otherwise pass constitutional muster ? As recently as the Heller V DC we know what's up there and even a 4-4 court wouldn't go along with any of this and law enforcement would thus be so instructed.

That's why the feds needed to pass presidential martial law capabilities which has yet to be court tested. It is my understanding, that's the only alleged legal vehicle for the confiscation of the peoples' arm which was made optional under that law.

Then the govt. runs into Caesar's problem. (you ain't shit without the Army) Would the Army and law enforcement go along ?

This is sarcasm wasn't it?
