midtownATLdom -> New to lifestyle and site; resource for gays? (7/21/2006 2:29:26 PM)

Hi there.  Been lurking here for a bit, reading forum posts and trying to learn more about the D/s lifestyle.  Have been more and more dominant sexually due in large part to meeting and playing with guys that wanted to be submissive, but recently met someone who is very interested in getting collared and having a 24/7 master.  I'm trying to figure out whether I'm really a dom in that sense or with that capability.

I'm also curious as to whether this is a good resource or site for gayfolk or whether there are other sites better suited to that.  It seems most of the posters in these forums seem to be of the hetero variety - not that there's anything wrong with that. ;-)

First, welcome to the forums.

As far as your not being sure if you're really a dom is something you really need to figure out before you rush into anything, especially a 24/7 M/s dynamic. Though, i'm sure you already knew that.

And, i'm not sure about the homo/hetero thing. You could do a search here for any gay/lesbian switches/dom/subs. Or you could do a google search for gay community sites.

Good luck in your search.

Just don't be afraid to jump in any thread you feel passionate about. You learn from the people here, just as much as they can learn from you.

I've been lurking here for some time as well, curious as to how well the really alternative of alternative lifestyles are welcomed here.  I have to say I'm fairly comfortable with everything thus far.  I think there's something here for everyone - just need to meet the right person.  Good luck in your search and have fun!

Plenty of Leather community in the ATL area, The Eagle, A.S.S.( Atlanta S&M Solidarity), Panthers, all in the midtown area.

A.S.S. even has an education night at the Eagle every Wednesday night if I recall at 8 pm.

Plenty of people to talk to and ask questions of.
