Hello Morose and welcome to CollarSpace !! My name is linaka & I as well have recently experienced an ending to a long term relationship. I recently became a new member here with the intent of simply making new friends with common interest... at this time. :) I've 3 suggestions for you; please take them as you will. 1.) Complete your profile. Share your thoughts & emotions re: what you know about BDSM and how it may fit into your life at some time. Use the INTEREST Section to show what you are about as a person, both BDSM activities and definately the plethora of things that you enjoy doing. BDSM is not 24/7 365 dungeon time. :) For example, I adore Classic Movies, Broadway Musicals, Egyptian Arabian Horses, cooking and French Bulldogs. We're just regular folks with a healthy slice of Kink! :) 2). Spend some time researching the lifestyle on your own rather than base the entire collection of knowledge from what you may be told online. There's a lot of experienced and skilled practitioners of the alternate lifestyle online and especially here, no question about that, but it's also well worth your time to delve into some self studies as well. You may consider reading the book, 'Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns: The Romance and Sexual Sorcery of Sadomasochism' by Philip Miller. An extremely interesting read and full of valid information. 3). Consider attending a local Munch. Munches are a very friendly gathering of people with like minded interests and are typically held in a restaurant that can accommodate such a group. The people are quite welcoming and there's no reason to be nervous. :) I can promise you that from personal experience. If you'd like, I can send you a couple of links that will list the local BDSM Clubs and Munch locations with dates. It's my personal opinion and experience Morose, that no relationship delves as deeply into the mind and heart as True Power Exchange. Keep your mind open and step wisely, linaka
