Like seriously..., who cares! http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/lena-dunham-vancouver-trump-1.3554533 They can move out of it and there will still be more people who wanna come in. And also, the ridiculous thing is, is this threat to voters that if you vote for Trump, they will leave the country? Like such pompous self-importance! You never hear the Right crying that they will leave the country if Hillary was voted in.

Europe? About the only places they can go that aren't more socialist than the US are likely reduce their lifestyles more than they are willing to do. Nobody's moving based on an election. More often than not, those that are spewing that crap are doing so solely for the attention. Right or left, they are attention whores.

Actually, compared to the US and its quirky individualistic and extreme capitalist approach to most things, Canada and the EU (and Oz/NZ) are waay more socialist in their outlook and implementation of stuff. Although we don't go as far as China from a socialistic PoV, it would be a huge culture shock for US citizens to try and fit in to our societal norms to what they are used to in the US. So while not totally socialist, we are a good long move away from the US on the socialist scale and understandably thinking we are socialist from their PoV.

Every time we have a presidential election someone threatens to move if the guy they want doesn't win. Nothing new and like you pointed out, who cares. Interestingly enough, when the election is over, very few of them actually do it.
