Cattle prods can be used, and it's not hard to tone them down a bit.

Most use standard D or C sized batteries, so you cut a piece of dowel rod of the proper diameter and length for your battery.  Wrap the dowel in aluminum foil, and replace one of the batteries in your stack to reduce the power in the discharge.  Replace two batteries to really tame the zap.  You can experiment with various numbers of replacement "batteries" to find a "shock value" that you and your partner are comfy playing at.

YIK,
- Geoff

Can't say about dog shock collar though I'm curious enough I'll probably look into it when I have time.

As for cattle prods, I know very well what those feel like.  When I was a kid working on a farm in the summer we used to have duels with them.  Didn't kill me and no drain bamage eyether.

They can both be used on humans.  The charge is a DC charge that is contained between the probes.  So they are not introduced anywhere else.  I do train dogs also.  I have used the shock collar before.  Depending on the dog, it can be useful or, if used carelessly, confuse or intimidate  a good dog.   It is only a training aid that at times can help if used properly.

I could write a book about how electricity works, but it is available on the net for anyone that really wants to learn.   Many are confusing about how it works and what it actually will do.  Knowledge is our friend.  Find someone that knows it, understands it, and plays with it.  Then listen and learn.

Then enjoy the edge play....if you dare.

Have a mate who is designing what he refers to as an Alpha Whip. It is an electric single tail where on striking it also imparts an electric shock.. His idea is that the charge is adjustable with the max still being with in safe limits.. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action by Christmas I hope.

Bear,

Please share if that does indeed come out for Christmas!

Same here Padriag,

Well..not exactly duels, that would imply consent. More like sneak attacks. No, they did not kill me - but I never ever forgot the feeling either! I had not thought of that in years, but definately an attention getter!

Hi Cloudz,

IB has left most of the forums but can be found on the Gorean one, the Polls & Other Stupidity and sometimes on the Off Topic forum.. His choice, when I asked him earlier today when I dropped in for coffee he just said he would rather spend time where he feels he is most helpfull. I know he has almost pulled out of the entire BDSM community locally and is just tired of all the ship and maliciousness.. However, I'm the one working on the whip and if it works and is safe to use I know he thinks highly of you and will contact you with details..
