They have to have credibility. Which they do not.
Given that the Democratic Party held the majority the last two years of his Presidency, who should have pushed for the impeachment...since you say it was so rightfully deserved?

Dick Cheney was W's insurance policy against impeachment. That is unless of course...they got them both. But then Pelosi may have been a sort of visceral insurance policy against that.
