ORIGINAL: OsideGirl Oh, I absolutely agree. I have no idea how you can display that much hate and still consider yourself a Christian. They show up at ComiCon every year and people make opposing signs that are positively hysterical. And we've done a couple of Patriot Guard rides where they've been present. It does appear that they can't afford to travel as much, which would be a good thing. If I would have known back when I lived a few hours from you that I was going to turn into such a "The Walking Dead" fan, I'd have probably done ComiCon. (I guess that kind of thing doesn't make me a 'good' Christian either to some folks.) When it comes to WBC, I tend to have to grit my teeth. The criteria for using the label "Christian" isn't really all that high. Do they believe in Christ as the son of God? Well, they say they do, so I'm not in a great position to say that I'm more entitled to use the label than they are. Doesn't stop me from wanting to be distanced from them, though. Thanks for participating in the Patriot Rides. It's good to see support come from the other side. I'm always glad to see it when people stand up to those folks. There is a difference to me LP I grew up in the anglican church, I turned away from it rather violently at 15. I couldnt handle the hypocrisy of hate. I dislike organized religion. All of them, im agnostic leaning atheist. But I dont have a problem with normal Christians.Jews or any other religion. Until, they think that they have the right to restrict my rights to make me live by their "religious beliefs. Yes the fundies disgust me. Left, right, catholics, jews, muslims, catholics, etc etc. fundamentalism is the curse. Not the individuals.
