The does article does say, though: "The chart does show that the United States has more mass shootings -- and more people cumulatively killed or injured -- than the other 10 nations combined, partly because it has a much bigger population than all but China." .... Hmmm. I'd have thought that the next thing to do after that statement would be to compare the US's rate, proportionately, with that of the populations of all the other 10 nations combined. And it really would be necessary to deal with the Presidents references to a) type of violence and b) frequency ... rather than skate by those two things as though they don't matter. The article just looks somewhat weaselly, as it stands.

All of which has been abolished. That people still have guns is hardly germane vis-a-vis an organization that has not existed in more than a hundred years

Besides, to my mind, it all hits home that they were off-duty, 'ordinary citizens' at the time, dressed as they are.
