with single motherhood being one of the greatest risk factors in children for crime, drugs, poor academic achievement, etc, you might think the leftists would be more or less on board with working to preserve and defend traditional marital relationships as concerns children.
If I told you he did say words to that effect and apologized for the comments more than once,would you still be a dupe?

sorry comrade, apologizing for something one said is not evidence (or admission) that he did in fact say what you said he did. all it is, is a recognition that he offended people with what he said and is sorry for it.
why don't you go find his actual quote about bestiality and see with your own eyes instead of playing the "dupe" yourself. you, and wherever you got your "news" from are misrepresenting him, and if you had some intellectual integrity here, youd want know the truth.
