Respecting Lifestyle, Site, Moderators, People, which should be followed in the line of importance?

Greetings Thread.
I'm curious as to which item is of more importance on a Alternate Lifestyle Site that has a BDSM Forum to follow.
I was reading input on a touchy subject matter in todays times however this is not a vanilla site and as I watched
a Moderator put down rules that were not listed specifically became curious as the Dominant Person that I am as
well as a Alternate Living Person who is basically non conformist to the norms of our society in life in general. Why
a do as I say or get out demeanor was presented when there are as many differing personalities on here as posts.
We all know that this site makes an income off of those of us whom visit the site. Hence we are the customers.
But this is not a normal site of accepted society so should we accept the extreme's of peoples opinions and thoughts
that are outside of societies norm much as we do in a BDSM lifestyle providing that it sits with in a rule of our
lifestyle it addresses and is used as such as is addressed by the Moderators or Owners today? Members input ?
I may not like what you say or how you say it, but I will fight to my death your right to say it.......

I cannot read the script you post in so I have removed the extras for myself and others who may have the same issue.

First of all, it's been a minute, welcome back, MDread.

Second, if respect is first there is no need for any order of all else, respect is simply respect.

It'd be lovely if we could live in a world ruled by anarchy, as per Immanuel Kant's philosophy, but respect is often demanded and rarely extended. Sooooo... that brings us right back to ankle biting Chihuahua's yipping at everyones heels because mired in their solipsism they cannot extend respect.

And an answer:

Because they can.

Because too much colorful language and accusation being hurled between posters detracts from discussion.

Alternate Living Person? Such as a vampire or zombie?

thishereboi -> RE: Respecting Lifestyle, Site, Moderators,People, which should be followed in the line of importance? (5/4/2015 2:57:26 PM)

I would have to say people which if you think about it covers all of the others. I don't think one group of people deserve anymore respect than the other. That said if you lie about me or act like an ass all bets are off.

Moderator3 -> RE: Respecting Lifestyle, Site, Moderators,People, which should be followed in the line of importance? (5/4/2015 3:13:45 PM)

I'm unclear as to what site moderator did whatever it was that caused this but I may just hurt them or myself. [:D]

This site is here for alternative lifestlyers or anyone that wishes to be here as long as they go by the rules. You want specific rules? Thou shall not harass staff, kind of rules? I'm sorry, but the TOS is long enough and we don't need scripture or a law library.

We can't have a free-for-all, though we do have Feisty sections and that is how it will stay. I am sure some of the advertisers and many of the site users insist upon it anyway. You should see how many complaints we get, threads that get started and cmails sent about how we need to clean this place up, etc. If we went by the rules site users wanted, you all would really not like it here. We do need some order in the house.

Did I address the op or do I need a nap and coffee? I'm still trying to figure out where that quote came from.

MistressDREAD -> RE: Respecting Lifestyle, Site, Moderators,People, which should be followed in the line of importance? (5/5/2015 4:07:14 AM)

Greetings Thread.
Thank You Exiled Tyrant. I think I have proven my point in my staying away for a few years (along with my
pocketbook). Your mind is as striking as ever! I find the new site digs interesting and site name in respecting
the now defunct Collarme. I agree with your comment and hence my question to the group in general. If
Respect is shown, (as is our mantra in our lifestyle) there would be no need for a Moderator to interject a threat.
That was my thought as I was reading and had to have a moment to speak on the issue. By the way, I thought
We DID live in a world ruled by anarchy. ~wink~ I thank all for your opinions on my (question) It brought out
the answer I was seeking..... ~smiles~

Moderator3 -> RE: Respecting Lifestyle, Site, Moderators,People, which should be followed in the line of importance? (5/5/2015 7:58:44 AM)

[sm=applause.gif]

That was so artfully done that I am beside myself in awe at the brilliance. I could hardly see that you were gunning for me from the start. You know, so very unintelligent we moderators are, only seeking power we don't feel we have in our lives and think behind a keyboard we can be warriors.

I have seen the proof of your style in beating those inferior or subject to dominants upon the head even when their dominant states that they may do whatever it was they were doing that you took offence to because you were dominant. Not much has changed but the names in some places, but if you think you are going to return after what I have seen and go for the throat, I will push my less than admirable mod personality when met with such brilliance and force to prove a point or two and consider they shouldn't have pushed a button long before my time.

Say hello to your friends for me and I will say, good bye. We don't play this way any more. We give more freedom than those before me, but we don't let people storm in gunning for someone. No matter who that someone is.

You have a wonderful day basking in that brilliance and feel free to tattle on me.

Yea, I have to say I really don't have a clue what it's about either. Sounds like maybe someone called her on something and she got a bit defensive about it. She also seems to think she made some kind of point by leaving for a bit, but I am lost on who would really care. I gotta be honest. I have been here a stretch myself and while the name looks familiar, I couldn't tell you much more than that.

I think we haven't been on the forums long enough to get the full picture on this, cause you're not the only one who's confused by the op.

I've been on the forums since the Dawn of Time Itself - but I'm baffled too.

All due respect, I doubt very much that you would 'fight to your death' to defend my 'right' to a voice.

You've been watching too much violence and hero films, and it's a fair bet you've had too many vitamin C drinks.

That was the exact same thought I had. It's almost a shame that with all the effort she put into her post, that's what I walked away with. I'm sure there must be something more to her point, but it's lost on a number of us.

I did read the whole post and didn't agree with much of it if any of it.

You (general you) wouldn't turn up at someone's home as an invited guest and start shouting the odds.

Also, I would have thought that order and structure has a place in dominance and submission, pretty central to it as far as I can tell.

The non-conformist bit? If the OP went into the shed in her/his back garden and constructed a rocket that could take her/him to the moon, flew to the moon, built a house and farmed some pigs; then I would grant that as being non-conformist.

As it stands, two people conducting their relationship in the privacy of their own home, is not anywhere remotely approaching non-conformist. People have been doing this the world over for fair old time, and the fact one party is on the wrong end (or right end depending upon point of view) of a whipping doesn't really change things.

It all smacked of drama, craving belonging and fantasy to me: "fighting to the death", "non conformist", "society's outcasts" (or something like that).

For the most part, society isn't interested in what you (general you) do in the privacy of your own home.
