I think it's nice for love to kind of ~ smolder~ for a bit like maybe the first year or so of a M/s relationship. Then at that time you would both come to the realisation that neither of you wanted someone else. That's when the Collared part comes out and you go from "Sir" to "Master." You both realise that you have and give each other everything that you need and want in a loving relationship. At that point I'd also be starting to think about marriage. To OWN her in every way.

I am a BRAND new dominant. I only started to find my true self this year. The only one that I want as my slave is my wife of 12 years. For me, I fell in love first, and I am just now finding that I want to own her as well. I know that I need to find and know myself first, but I'm finding more patience these days.

i have only been owned once & i was not inlive with Him at first..i had great respect & honor towards Him..but as time passed..we both fell inlove with eachother & although i have been released from him for almost 1 1/2 yrs we still speak at least once a month to eachother(by phone..we live in different states now,,but we lived together as M/s) and we still have respect for eachother...unowned & unsusal...sharon

It's the love that really makes the play exciting. I'm not sure that the play would be very interesting at all if the love or at least the potential for love did not exist.

I love Master, more than I knew it was ever possible to love. I was afraid to love him at first, but let go and let it happen. I never asked him to love me in return, but he does. And every time he says it, the tears flow (um, mine, not his, lol).

I think it is fairly common to love your submissive or Dominant. In fact, I would find it almost impossible not to if I was in a long term relationship. The very things (for me) that are so important in my Dom are what made me love Him....trustworthiness, kindness, honesty, acceptance (of all things). How can you not love a person who embodies those traits? And He's a hell of a good spanker!

How can you not? My relations with a sub are based on trust, caring and openness , good building blocks for a loving relationship.
