The difference was that the GOP was saying they were willing to shut down government to force their hand. For that, Warren blasted them for it, as being a horrible thing, and likened the calls for the GOP to stand their ground to anarchy. Now, Warren is doing the same damn thing, but it's okay.
The thread is about Warren's hypocrisy over her reaction to the GOP's shutdown, and her attempts to prevent a passing vote, which would have shut down government. She knew that would happen, didn't she? I figure it would be worse if she didn't know that, actually.
You do remember that when warren stated anarchy (and supposedly the moment the OP was talking about) the government shut down wasnt used as a threat, it was actually three days INTO the government shut down??
People from cruz to rubio to paul HAD called for a shut down way before hand, in fact the time line is quite well known.
The situations ARE different, you see it as hypocritical? I see it as sound and noise. braying like donkeys that after the last five years of obstruction, its not fair, the dems are being mean to us...whinging at best.
The fact the bill passed, the government wasnt shut down, warren is not a republican.

Actually, she likened the calls in support of the shutdown to anarchy (which clearly was not the case). That she was unsuccessful in attempting to shut down government (by getting enough 'no' votes to not pass the bill), is immaterial. She wanted to shut down government, even though she blasted the GOP for doing it last year.
The banks have not shafted anyone with this. This opens the door for government to use the taxpayers to bail out banks, rather than forcing the banks to use the FDIC. If government refuses to bail the banks out, the banks don't have the FDIC to rely on, so the banks end up shafting themselves with their lending policies (which Bush should have let happened back in 2008).
