But, face it, liberalism = mental illness. Nothing funny about it.

Do not reduce the severity of mental illness to suit your politics. Mental illness doesn't fucking care if you are liberal, conservative, or otherwise politically aligned. It is a serious illness, not a talking point.

Yet does seem there are plenty of conservative individuals suffering from schizophrenic paranoia these days. Or have you not noticed many of these Republican/Tea Partiers spewing some absolutely 'Grade A' quality bullshit, even when the facts are known on the subject? How many conservatives believed the ACA would result in 'death panels' even though that concept was in....ANY....of the various versions of the ACA? From the President's original proposal in 2009 to the final bill signed into law in March, 2010?

Or that firearms are going to be ban by the President under an executive order? Yes, you and I both know that can not happen. The conservative media *KNOWS* how to play on the fears of conservatives, especially those suffering from either schizophrenia, paranoia, or both! Stroll over to the Drudge Report, if you dont believe me....

You were right Guage and here we have an example of someone doing the same thing from the other side. Kinda a ying to his yang.

What percentage of conservatives believe the President was not born in this nation? Fully a third? That is what many sources are claiming. Let's just say that the conservative viewpoint made up 25% of the nation's population of 310 million. That would mean 77.5 million Americans are conservatives. One third of that, or 25.8 million, believe the President was not born in the nation. That's 25.8 million Americans who cant accept the evidence and facts and instead believe in something that is not real or true.

Definition of Schizophrenia:
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that makes it hard to: Tell the difference between what is real and not real; Think clearly; Have normal emotional responses; Act normally in social situations.

Now if they aren't mentally out of order, than they are just being petty, crude, cruel, and dare I say it, racist. Yes, all 'good' virtues to have, right?

Its different between elchupa and myself. He just throws up mindless bullshit without any evidence supporting the notion. How many conservative gun owners have been worrying that President Obama would ban their firearms in the last six and a half years? How often has it happen? None. Because the President can not ban firearms. That's what's called 'paranoia'. How about Obama increasing that debt? Or writing most executive privileges in the history of the nation? There is fact, and then there is the schizophrenic paranoia from the conservatives in the nation. Elchupa is a good example of it.

Yea we get it. Everyone on the right is evil and everyone on the left is good. Thanks for proving my point.

They are not entirely evil. They have one redeeming quality: A living example to the next ten generations of Americans of what....NOT...to vote into public office on....ANY....level of government!

The approval rating of congress suggest both parties are today into this with the effective goal of shutting out alternative currents from ever entering politics. Didn't this happen in Minnesota?

Not that I am aware of, perhaps you can elaborate on this?

Ah I have a recollection of it happening in the year 2000 and the whole Jesse Ventura thing .

An other type of redistricting is that which ends up affecting more independent voices in the party.
The best known example I know is that which forced Dennis Kucinich out by having him pitted against the old and popular but certainly less provocative Marcy Kaptur.
But I don't even remember which party iniated that one.

Where are these polls Joke? You keep claiming that 1/3 of the GOP voters believe that Obama is a foreigner... Put up of STFU

Forty-one percent (41%) of Republicans believe Obama is not an American citizen, compared to 21% of unaffiliateds and 11% of Democrats. Just over 20% of Republicans and unaffiliated adults also are not sure, but only seven percent (7%) of those in the president's party share that doubt.

Additional information from this survey and a full demographic breakdown are available
rasmussen poll from 2014
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/lifestyle/general_lifestyle/july_2014/have_we_got_a_conspiracy_for_you_9_11_jfk_obama_s_citizenship

there was one in 2011, theres quite a few if you actually care to do some research

Way to take the results out of context. Your quote is from results of the over 40.

Out of 1000 respondents (which makes this an unreliable poll anyways):

One-in-four adults (24%) are convinced that the U.S. government knew in advance about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and did nothing to stop them, and 19% more are not sure. Only 57% say that conspiracy theory is false.

Just as many (23%) say the theory that Obama is not an American citizen is true, with another 17% who aren't sure. Sixty percent (60%) reject that theory as false.

So. . . the whole "birther" thing is on par with the 9/11 stuff. [8|]

They won because they're racists, they won because of massive voter fraud, they didnt really win at all...

This liberal thinks the Republicans won because the Democratic party has spent the last 6 years lying to everyone and Obama has pretty much actually done exactly the opposite of his campaign promises from the very start. In other words, I think the Republicans had a pitch which appealed to conservative voters and the Democrats had... "we're not as bad as they are". The liberals like to pride themselves on being intellectual so it's predictable that "we're not as bad as they are" wouldn't sell well.

If I wanted an Oligarchic police state either party will happily give that to me. Why care whether I vote one way or the other?

It was the Ohio GOP that did that. Ohio lost 1 or 2 seats after the 2010 census. Kaptur's district includes most of Toledo (heavily Democrat), a spit of land along the Southern border of Lake Erie and a heavily Democrat portion of Cleveland. Thus, Kaptur's district's two most populated areas are 2+ hours away from each other.

I'm sure my voiced opposition emailed to Kasich fell on deaf ears, sadly.

I think if you could get below the B.S. of the media and the hot air politicians you would find that few people vote FOR any party but vote against the one that has pissed them off the most and most recently. You cast the vote for whomever has disgusted you the least lately.
