Bill Clinton is the most admired president over the last 25 years, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg Survey.

Forty-two percent of respondents picked Clinton as the president they admired the most.

He was followed by President Barack Obama at 18 percent, George W. Bush at 17 percent and his father, George H.W. Bush, at 16 percent.

I did not see that coming. Interesting.

so "none of the above" was not given as an option, huh? cuz that's the answer I would have given..

Since the question was a matter of relative approval, "none of the above" would be an illogical response.

Unless one's approval for each is equally non-existent, in which case "none of the above" is the only logical response. ;)

But since that's not the case, still irrelevant.

From your link:

When asked to choose the best post-war president, for instance, Ronald Reagan snagged 35 percent of voters. But 18 percent thought it was Kennedy. Clinton took 18 percent of voters, and 8 percent think it's Obama, putting him in fourth place. George W. Bush had just 1 percent of voters on this question.

Clearly, calling him Bush Lite should clarify that for you.

Wasn't Bush the one who was going to create a permanent republican majority?

Meglomaniacs often find reality a stubborn opponent.

There's a reason Newt is unpopular even among Republicans too.

Kind of a silly point about Congress. By that logic, Obama got it back.

Barack had the House and the Senate, even the Supreme Court could have been in the lefts grasp within the next ten years or so

But the people vomitted up what Barack & Co have been trying to shove down their throats

Then there are all the scandals that leftists insist are nothing

Fast & Furious, IRS, Benghazi, VA to name a few of the major ones

Since Bush is rated as the more popular / more competent president, it would be more proper to refer to Bush as "Obama-Lite" than vise-versa

quote:

Obama has been a better president than George W. Bush, 39 percent of voters say, while 40 percent say he is worse.

That's not the reason for the label. I, unlike you, have my own opinions, not just media parroting.

At issue for me is the disastrous Bush policies that created a structurally dysfunctional economy (ignoring fiscal policy problems with monetary policy, killing debt reduction by cutting taxes in a strong economy, starting two long term military commitments). Bush Lite, despite some course changes, largely followed Bush's policy.

Idiots approve of all kinds of stupid shit. But the reality is that the problems we have today are of our own making, completely
unnecessary.

In a bit over 4 Billion years, the sun will begin to run out of fuel and cool thus making the earth uninhabitable.

Sanity will blame Clinton.
