Phydeaux has dealt with the environmental industry for about the same time period as you, and if he has taught me anything, it's that experience doesn't always make you more knowledgeable, or right for that matter. You can gauge for yourself who knows what he is talking about when it comes to solar. Confusing two different things? Efficiency is not related to money or cost, it's related to how much energy a method can actually take up from a source. If you're talking about efficiency with relation to money, then yes, you are right. But straight efficiency of a renewable technology is not related to money, it's about energy. That is what I said,so what is your beef? I totally agree that the capture ratio has improved, I'm not saying that it hasn't. And how many people in the south pole were there who needed electricity compared to the droves of people in new york? I was making the point that wind power was a well developed technology more than a hundred years ago. Now nyc uses electricity drawn from the exact same technology. Water is nothing more than thick air pushing through an air screw to turn a shaft to make power. On a small scale, wind works, obviously. But when you need to supply electricity demands to a city? It's not exactly feasible since you need a wide area to put them, not to mention the harmful vibrational effects on human health in the nearby area. Wind is great in theory but it has a long way to go to be efficient and healthy. On a small scale a creek with a water wheel works, obviously. But when you need to supply electricity demands to a city? It's not exactly feasible since you need a wide area to put them, not to mention the harmful vibrational effects on human health in the nearby area. Water is great in theory but it has a long way to go to be efficient and healthy.[8|] Good fucking lord listen to yourself. Go to google and look what the niagra river looked like before they put the water wheel in. Thousands of local businessmen and women displaced and their businesses down the shitter. I am glad of it...how else to access that awesome powere laying untapped. And I totally agree that we can shorten the time towards green energy, by giving people more incentives to invest in green alternatives. But it takes time, and not everyone is going to be as willing to go through this kind of change. Fuckem...give them a job making buggy whips and lantern wicks. If you think that those items are not in demand then try to find them at k mart prices. Who on this forum has not encountered "sticker shock" when looking at the price of a high quality whip or crop. A single uncle benny wont buy shit. Lastly, you can argue a point without being a dick. Perhaps if you were to peruse some of my past post you might find that I am a motherfucking sweetheart until someone gets in my shit. Those who are civil to me are treated to the same sort of civility. With me you get just what you see. Be nice and I am nice...act like a dick...same same. Try it sometime, you might find the world a little more enjoyable, Look at my past post and you will find several people with whom I disagreed. People who can be forceful in their opinions such as k,dk,ll,taz, vml, butch, steel, tim, and more than a few others. Not to my memory have they called me names nor been called names by me. They have not insulted my intelligence by lying to me nor have I to them. When their errors or mistakes were shown to them they were gracefully acknowledged and likewise I to them. If any of the above feel I am mistaken please say so. because we're on the same side here and you don't need to go insulting everyone who doesn't share your exact opinion. In my zip code it is not an insult to disabuse someone of their ignorance. You're not god, That would be your ignorant, unsubstantiated opinion[;)] and you're not always right, I am right often enough that you will spend a lot of your free time trying to find when I am not...when and if you do please be prepared for me to accept it graciously...so long as you don't try to be pickn fly shit outa pepper.[:-] no one ever is. Wouldn't it make sense to know what one is talking about before forming an opinion about it? Have you noticed that there are people who have an opinion to express without learning anything about it? If one does the former the chances of being right are greatly increased. If one does the later we have the "chaos" factor...as in say something totally outside the box and typically wrong to the 99 percental...the one percent being the need for constant scrutny of the moronic for that kernel of corn amidst the shit.
