It's worth comparing gun related deaths between countries.
Honestly it's not. If you go back 1000 years, there were zero gun deaths. This doesn't say anything at all about the violence nor murder rates.

Gun-death statistics looked at in the absense of context offers no useful information.

I suppose I wonder how one determines "complete". You can't every eliminate the possability that there was something which is not existant in any version. What's more important is "is it definitive". If the legislature and courts are using a different version than you are, that's bad. If they are using the same version, then a discussion of hypothetical extra bits is acedemic.

Though I would be honestly surprised at a claim that no one has put up an official version of something as basic as the national constitution. Certainly all of the US constitutions I've seen online have been complete.

There are attendent documents which were gernerated at the time of federatio specifying the timing and specifice of law at the time of Federation. Some earlier versions did not have these as complete rather than a precis of them. For me I also needed several High Court rulings on interperations under law.. Yes in fact there re aspects in writing of the Australian Constitution which are not part of the package but i was already able to officilly access them and get copies of those documents.. My point was that one of the methods of getting a copy is to request a copy from the Electral Offices who are obliged by federal law to suply you with one upon request. It was just amusing that the senior clerk did not know what the Australian Constitution was.. She is no longer employed by the Federal Government by the way.... Something to do with lack of competency and basic knowledge..

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Times haven't changed, nor have tastes.

<shivers>  That's the scariest thing I've thought about for quite some time... and I think about scary things quite a bit.

we do have a constitutionits just not written down in a single document it constantly changes and flexes over time and prevents people from shouting .....the constitution syas this or the constitution syas that.......... another brilliant flexible, unfathonable, wishy washy, but incredibly effective invetion of millions (historiclly) of Brits........

I doubt anyone knows who the president of Australia is. I do know Tony Blair in the UK though.  I am going to go look it up right now! Alot of people here do not know who the VP of the US is.
