So.... here we are a little over a month after this hashtag horseshit started. Where are the girls? Oh wait... we sent a token military force to help look for them. I wonder how that's working out.... Let's examine the cost of trying to get social media to shame murderous child rapers into playing nice through the use of social media, shall we?
Boko Haram has probably already killed and/or mutilated the original group of girls that brought them into the worlds conciousness. They've killed at least 20 people over a fiddling $1500. They have kidnapped around 30 young mothers to ransom for cattle. In the last week, they've forced 6,000 people to flee their homes. In their latest misadventure, they attacked some football (soccer) fans, and now the Nigerian government is going to close down the public viewing centers where Nigerians go to watch the World Cup because they're afraid of creating another opportunity for Boko Haram to strike innocent civilians.
Meanwhile, the Camaroon government has killed a whopping two, yes two, of these Boko Haram guys. Well, that's something anyway even if the troops from the various western nations have managed fuck all; at least the locals have managed to shoot just enough of of these terrorists to piss them off.
Meanwhile, in the west this week; the U.N. is preparing to sanction the leader of the Boko Haram, one Abubakar Shekau. They will also set sanctions against the faction he is personally in charge of. That will show them! At least it should waste another 4-6 weeks, so the rabid Obamabots will think that Moochelle and Barry have actually accomplished something with their awesome Weaponized Twitter Account of Fail.
