Yep, the big money conservatives of yesteryear re-invented themselves quite a few decades ago to woo the popular vote.

Yes, it is mostly the poor and uneducated states that vote Republican --- low information, single-issue voters, and religious nuts vote Republican.

Yes it is true, but pointing out that facts isn't going to stop anyone from whining about those evil rich right wingers.

You've never heard the term "limousine liberal" before??

Why don't we look at the metric of intelligence, too. Middle class people who vote for Republicans define self-inflicting harm. And while we're at it, let's consider the fact that this means rich Democrats favor having things like a social safety net (a net that the rich Democrats, in addition to supporting, PAY for. Gladly.)

One can't help but wonder what middle class America is voting for when they vote Republican. Those policies only work if you are already rich. And guess what. The rich, according to your article, vote for Democrats because they actually care about other human beings. Wow. What a concept. To care for the community at large….

If the democrats care so much about the people, why did they just pass a bill that will delay ICD-10 coding and cost the health care system billions of dollars. Is it that they don't care or are they just really really stupid?

Nah, I don't need his mansions. I'm quite happy in the house I live in. I don't need a larger one (and have no reason to have a larger one). I'm also perfectly happy with my current plot of land, too. I take that back. I'm not perfectly happy with it. I'm looking to improve it. Not surprisingly enough, that takes money. It would be nice to be wealthy beyond needing to work, but that's the way that goes.

As far as their upbringings go, I'm not sure why you singled out Romney and compared him to the Obamas. What about doing that for Congress? I'm sure you know that both Barack and Michelle both have stated that who they are is a result of the struggles they went through, right? And, that they wouldn't be as strong had they not had to go through those struggles. One has to wonder why they would want to take that opportunity away from others.

The thing is, Romney didn't live a harsh life. I have no problem with that. But, at some point, Romney's forebears had to work themselves up. I think it's great that gets passed along, personally. I want my kids to have an easier life than mine (I admit mine isn't anywhere near as tough as many). Part of the reason my Dad worked as hard as he did, was so that us kids didn't have to work as hard as he did; that we would have a better life than he did.

My neighbor's niece's daughter hangs around "welfare queens." For them, it's generational welfare. They find ways to game the system, so they don't have to work. She was a teen mom, and, worst of all, she feels she's entitled to all sorts of things. Personally, I find that despicable. Apparently, the people who lived in my house before, felt it was better to grow/sell pot and collect welfare than it was to work.

I don't know if they vote, but I would be willing to bet they vote D.

Or his home where he was the adopted muslim son of a Indonesian billionaire?

So if you want some other facts about poor Barry's houses and homes... how about: http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2011/04/26/obama-behind-the-eyes-the-down-nosed-stare-and-the-spin-part-i-kindergarten-through-high-school/

No. Middle class voting for republicans - are them voting their interest as they see it.
And you unwilling to recognize it.

As inflammatory as this sounds, it is demonstrably true. Furthermore, the article completely misses the point. I have never thought, (nor do I think anyone else has either) that Republicans are predominantly presiding in Congress over rich districts.

The districts are soooooo gerrymandered anyway that they don't accurately represent any demographic (as long as the lines are drawn to include a Republican majority). Besides, rich Republican donors couldn't give 2 shits who their own Congressman is as long as they have a handful of them in their back pocket, and the Republicans are in the majority. Many of the live in blue districts and are perfectly happy.

Republicans are the party of the rich, because they are in the back pocket of the rich.... Not because they happen to be in any particular district.

I always find it amusing that when Romney gets mentioned people automatically start bitching about how much money he has. It's like they think all the democratic politicians are running around wearing sack cloth and living in shacks. Perhaps you should reread the link.
