Let's see....I am here on advice from a friend, a Dom who wishes to take me under his wing. I know nothing about the lifestyle, and I am here to gain insight and knowledge, and speak to experienced individuals, so that I can make an informed and sound decision. This being my first day on the site, I am simply learning my way around. I appreciate contact and information from anyone willing to assist someone who is just stepping her foot inside the door! Hi and welcome. Just come and jump in to any discussion you like the look of.

Just to warn you, since you are a new user and female, you can expect a lot of inappropriate private messages in the first few weeks. Unfortunately, the online wankers who have already struck out with all the other women on the site tend to pounce on new users, so you can expect lots of elegantly phrased offers from people who won't read your profile. Please don't judge us all harshly as a result, and be liberal with your use of the delete and block features.

The forums have much less of that. If you have any specific questions, feel free to start your own thread. Don't worry too much about whether to place it in General BDSM or Ask a Sub/Ask a Master because people of all leanings can post in any part of the board so you will get a variety of answers. Oh, and only go into Politics and Religion if you are feeling particularly tough.

You don't say what part of California you're from, but most areas of CA has community. I would also suggest attending discussion groups and demonstrations in your area. It's always a good thing to get a different perspective than just the perspective of the person leading your down the path.

Hello and welcome its nice to have you here with us. You can gain a great deal of info from all the discussions here, there is also a really good book list under general BDSM. I have heard that CA is a great place for munches and the one on one here might be more helpful. Good luck to you.

welcome to the discussion. i agree this site is useful and has some very friendly members. a new lifestyle can't be adopt in a hurry.

Welcome. I also peeked at your profile hoping to get an idea of what area you were in. California is a pretty big place so it's hard to direct you to real time groups/organizations without a bit more info.

Hello all, and thank you for the warm welcome! Just wanted to follow up with some notes. First, about the "trolls", yeah they're everywhere. I get 'em on every social site I am on. They don't bother me, and block is my friend! I don't let them discourage me. I am also learning the difference between a true Dominant Male, and a dirty old man. As for using the forum, I did post a thread out under "Ask a Submissive" and I have getting great feedback on that too. I have heard about FetLife and I have heard about the munches and I am taking that into consideration. I kept my actual area in California out of my profile, because I did not think it was necessary considering my purpose here. I'll find social events, should I determine that's the way I want to go. Most everyone has been very kind and understanding, and I appreciate it. Thank you so much. Love!!
