Brian Edward Cannon, Cory Robert Williamson and Terry Eugene Peace participated in online chats last month about an operation they were planning against the government in February, according to federal prosecutors. Their discussions were reported to the FBI, which had two cooperating witnesses in the case.

Cannon told an FBI cooperating source on Feb. 8 that the group was planning to "start a fight" with the government by attacking power grids, transfer stations and water treatment facilities, which they hoped would trigger martial law, according to prosecutors. Cannon said he would invite the FBI's source to a private Facebook group, where plans were being made, according to the government.

Later, on Feb. 15, Cannon told another FBI informant the types of weapons that Peace allegedly wanted. The FBI gave the cooperating informant 12 non-working pipe bombs and two high-temperature thermite devices. The three men met with the cooperating informant, who handed over the thermite devices. The three suspects were arrested as the cooperating informant went to obtain another box of supplies.

Peace allegedly encouraged members of his militia to review guerrilla warfare tactics, accumulate supplies and prepare their families. He told them that "guerilla (sic) warfare primary targets included TSA, DHS, non-emergency FEMA, road blocks, etc."

Interesting. This kind of unrest in a society is usually a sign that its leadership is failing.

Of course, now that you mention it...

I know youre aware that Obama & company are complete failures Kirata, but Owner59 is still trying desperately to validate his continued enchantment with the Food Stamp President. But then, without people like Owner59 out there leading the fight to advance failed economic and social theories, who would the Bamster have to lead from behind?

So you guys are arguing that violence is ok as long as you dislike the leader of the nation or consider him a failure. I'll keep that in mind.

What I say is what appears on your screen next to my name. If it isn't there, then I didn't say it. See how that works? Everything else is your imagination. Try to keep the two separate.

The only idea I "approve" of is that this kind of unrest in a society is usually a sign that its leadership is failing. The clue to this possibly obscure fact is that those are the words that appear above next to my name. Everything else is your imagination. Got it now?

Glad to help.

The leadership is doing just fine. Now if we just removed those useless Republicans and Tea Party members from Congress, this nation could get things accomplished in a major way.

But I'll meet you half way on your viewpoint; the Republican/Tea Party leadership really sucks. Maybe they should hire people that are more 'sensible' and less 'lunatic'....

hlen5 -> RE: Ehhh...yet more right wing domestic terrorists.... (2/22/2014 2:55:44 AM)

My take, they all suck!

A Do nothing congress, a pissy-bitch Governor creating gridlock, a Pres. that thinks extra-judicial killings are just hunky-dory.

They all are lacking. I agree with Kirata, there is no decent leadership to be found.

'Leadership'. One of the most misunderstood words in the American English language. Most people think they know what it means. They'll even give you dictionary definition from their smartphones if they are really determine to show their knowledge base. An yet, most are incorrect to its true definition.

Definition of the word Leadership: (noun)

1. the position or function of a leader, a person who guides or directs a group: He managed to maintain his leadership of the party despite heavy opposition. Synonyms: administration, management, directorship, control, governorship, stewardship, hegemony.
2. ability to lead: As early as sixth grade she displayed remarkable leadership potential. Synonyms: authoritativeness, influence, command, effectiveness; sway, clout.
3. an act or instance of leading; guidance; direction: They prospered under his strong leadership.
4. the leaders of a group: The union leadership agreed to arbitrate.

Sounds pretty 'ok', right? WRONG...

A leader is one that inspires others to overcome hurdles they were to afraid to conquer. A leader is one that is respected and seen as pretty knowledgeable on their field of interest. Unlike management, leadership requires one to earn that respect. In management, one does what they are told by the management or they are fired.

So how does a leader, show leadership to a group of people that do not consider the individual a leader nor resist any and all possible attempts that the person is a leader and thus, inspired to do more? What lengths does such a person have to go through to show they are capable of leadership?

None. That's the answer.

Because most people when it comes to politics are led not by respecting their leaders but how well those leaders share the same political outlooks and beliefs of the individual. Therefore nearly all conservatives will say President Obama has no leadership ability, and just the same of liberals saying former President George W. Bush had the same! So 'political leadership' is more about how that leadership's qualities match the individual rather than the true form of leadership being placed on display.

Yes, I see what you're saying. We need a "solution" to the "Republican and Tea Party" problem.

If only there was a way to be rid of them.

I'm glad they were caught. I support them receiving the proper consequences.

I don't see this in his words Domken.
Can you explain ?

Just curious.

actually I didn't even see where you APPROVED of ANYTHING, all I saw was an observation, A is the result of B happening...

example, when an object is dropped it falls

but then DK has to CREATE his own REALITY

what I find odd, is I think I remember DK saying once in another thread where if children are treated poorly they will "act out" but apparently if citizens are treated poorly they should just revel in the fact that the gov. is aware that they even exist

I am going to break down the above statements and see if K actually approves of the violent overthrow of the US Government.

Interesting. I do believe that this is in reference to the news story in and of itself, the thought continues with:

This kind of unrest in a society is usually a sign that its leadership is failing. a historically accurate statement. Examples can be seen in the history of Great Britain, the US (the revolution) and France not to mention the 20th century.

Of course, now that you mention it.. An observational statement, meaning that there is evidence of failing leadership in our present government....

I approve of these types of activities and think they should have been smarter about the planning and kept it off the internet and worked only with trusted sources. Now clearly Kirata is stating that he approves of the armed revolt against the duly elected government, and of course I had to use numerous algorithms to get the invisible font he used that is only seen by a very small number of collarme users.

Just to be clear, the entire portion of this post in italics is pure and unadulterated sarcasm. At no point did K state he approved of violence to solve the problems in the US.

He stated his opinion that the leadership of the country is failing. He did not limit the statement to "Obama is failing" but the leadership, which, as I understand it, means the president as well as the house and senate leadership. In case you havent noticed, both sides have taken extreme stands on issues that leaves little or no room for compromise.

There has been very few instances when K has placed the blame on the democrats, or the President, those times being when Obama has clearly done or said something so insanely stupid you have to wonder if his brain is attached to his mouth directly or if the brain to mouth connection is routed through his ass.

That being said, I will say, that if both parties continue the course they have chosen, which is no compromise or bipartisan cooperation, the incidents such as the one in the report will continue.

Anyone that has studied the modern militia movement will notice that these groups have had major complaints with both parties, even when the militias are a primarily extreme right movement.

At present, I consider myself an independent, having been disappointed with both parties, and there are times when I think neither party is looking out for the people, or even their parties core values.

The citizens of this country needs to get their collective heads out of their asses and take a good look at where we are, and what we, the people, want this country to stand for.
