At 6'11" you can say goodbye to driving a lot of cars, unless you like your knees banging the dashboard.

There is a research center that has been working on genetic manipulation of a living organism. As soon as they can genetically alter a human body to spec, I am going to volunteer.

Specifications:

200% more muscle mass than the average human male.
10000% stronger bones
Immune system that will destroy arthritis.
10000% more efficient circulatory system.
10000% more efficient lungs
Increase height to 6'11 3/4"
Increase appendages with same ratio.
Increase mental processing ability 2^15%
Change aging process to 1 year in every 50.
Most importantly, increase my tolerance for stupid people to the point where I dont want to eliminate them from the gene pool instantly.

Lets face it...I got a knee injury since '86 that is acting up now with gout, I am morbidly obese, can't afford a gym (I used to lift weights when I was in the Army to keep myself toned), my back is out of whack, my thyroid is fucked up, can't stand for more than 15 minutes or walk on concrete for a short period of time, prone to rashes and dealing with bipolar, PTSD and fibromyalgia. My libido is shot too...so no sexual games or even a sexual partner. I am dealing with a lot here. Oh...and my MMORPG is messed up so there goes my stress relief!

Walking in stores with concrete floors bothers me too unless I am wearing good shoes like my gel Asics.

I don't like any of the gyms local to me so right now am working on the trail in the woods behind my house. I wear gloves and bring clippers. I like it better than just walking because I am using additional muscles, and get a hamstring stretch when I bend down to cut something on the ground. Sometimes I overdo it and am out of breath and shaky when I finish, but mostly it's the perfect exercise to do at lunchtime.

It was a REALLY fast walk the day the temperature was in the teens ;)

In a few months I will start gardening, which produces lots of opportunities for burning calories, in addition to organic produce.

Doing dishes is very painful for many with back issues. I asked a number of people with known back issues if doing dishes hurt them. They all said yes. I couldn't figure out why, nor could they. Finally, I found the answer. I have remodeled more kitchens because of this, than I care to admit. I raise the sink one to one and a half inches and no longer suffer like I did. A few others have been able to do this and they too are not suffering as much unless they stand there too long. That slight bend is a killer, though you may not even know you are doing it.

"No sink has ever been built high enough for a reasonably tall person...."

Saw my MHMR NP yesterday and she is pissed that my Medicare part D has kicked the Artane off of the formulary. She has renew that script with a note to the pharmacy that if part D is rejecting it to send her the rejection letter so she can go after the government (told her I am only taking half dosage because I don't know how much it is now).

No back pain, no knee pain. Staring at a box of hair color so when Mom wakes up, I am coloring my hair (light auburn). Hopefully we get all the gray hairs done...LOL!

Expecting 70% icy mix today and in a day or two go do a TSH/T4 blood test. The doctor had me stop taking my thyroid medicine so he can get an accurate reading.

Yesterday I broke down and had me a chocolate coke. Haven't had one in years. Lizard remembers me making them for her when she was a kid (never told her the recipe). Oh, and she wants me to make her a Charmander pokeman. First I got to finish this baby afghan, then make minion caps for someone (I find the directions and got the yarn, please be patient!), undone one project (I hate single stitch ripples...never works out right), finish up the duckie afghan for the county fair and see what projects are in the closet of doom (I know about 2 kits and one granny square project).

Rawni, HGTV is having a contest for $25,000 for remodeling. I would definitely raise the counter up where the sink is and get a gel-pad to put in front of the sink and stove...after I buy a new fridge. That is IF I win.

It was my impression that you had some chronic disease like arthritis or arthrose, and if so I am interested in doing theoretical research into it, and I think that I (eventually) can make a difference - but who would finance that; besides, I am slated for slave labor in a social workplace, doing inane production work.

If your condition is due to trauma, I have only stupid suggestions. The least stupid of which is: usually any medical intervention will only worsen the issue. Far more stupid suggestions, for the utterly desperate only, are that small, even tiny, local injections of epinephrine or growth hormone or insuline (which is a growth hormone) or collagen might conceivably improve on the trauma.
