BitaTruble -> Celebrating His life (1/6/2014 10:46:14 AM)

I will be holding a small gathering at Flaccos Sports Bar not to mourn death but to celebrate Michaels life. If you knew Michael or would just like to come down and have a celebration shot with me, feel free. It will be the last time I will be available in San Diego as I am moving back to as San Jose ASAP while the criminal investigation into the car accident is still underway.

We will be on the back patio. The address is 2249 imperial ave in San Diego. The company Michael worked for is right across the street. The are closing down at 3:00 pm and heading across the street to the bar.

If you would like to make a donation in Michaels name..that's way better than flowers which make me sneeze. His favorite charity was St. Jude's children's hospital.

I just want to thank everyone again for the amazing support that's been offered..the thoughtful words that touch my heart even if right now it's hard to respond..especially from this iPad..I have read them all.

Pls let me know via email to my reg account or here if you have questions regarding the celebration service and I will get back to you. Thanks all..

Celeste

Eta.. Guess it would have been helpful to put the date.. Wednesday, jan. 8

I dearly wish I could join you, but I'm a continent away. My thoughts, prayers, and warmest sympathies will be with you.

I only knew Michael through your words here on the board, and found him to be an incredibly loving man.
I will be with you in spirit, and hope that you will be surrounded by many that loved you both.

I also am very sorry to hear of your loss.

St. Jude's is one of two charities I contribute to on a regular basis.
In making a contribution, should it be just in memory of "Michael"?

angelikaJ -> RE: Celebrating His life (1/8/2014 4:43:41 AM)

I will be there in spirit, Bita.

Energy for strength and peace to you and your family.

NuevaVida -> RE: Celebrating His life (1/8/2014 6:24:22 AM)

Dinner at The Fish Market after an afternoon at Leather Masters, and a lot of laughing, is how I remember him. Coupled with the concern he had when my world was falling apart. Remember when I asked if I could move to Portugal with you both?

I'm way up here but I will crack a beer open and raise it, and thank the Universe for bringing him into your life.

Hugs hugs hugs my friend. I hope you laugh through the tears tonight.

SeekingTrinity -> RE: Celebrating His life (1/8/2014 8:19:31 AM)

I'm up here in Oregon, though I'll be there this evening with you in spirit. May this celebration of your Michael's life bring some measure of peace and comfort to all of you who knew and love him.

Celeste, I will hoist one to Micheal, and sorry to have never met you when, upon reflection, MSP was so very, very close.

I hope this celebration of his life brings you comfort.

popeye1250 -> RE: Celebrating His life (1/8/2014 11:23:12 AM)

My condolances.
As they say in the Irish, "I'm sorry for your troubles."

dcnovice -> RE: Celebrating His life (1/8/2014 6:24:48 PM)

How did the celebration go?

BitaTruble -> RE: Celebrating His life (1/8/2014 10:05:14 PM)

The celebration was cool. Prez conducted a prayer first in Spanish then English and finally Hebrew and had printed out the prayer for everyone to follow along. Lots of folks spoke, cried and we got some laughs too which was the main objective. We ate tacos and drank beer and told Michael stories. I got to share my damsel in distress story when I got trapped at cub parking lot in 60 degrees below with wind chill and how Michael came to my rescue. I felt the fondness that everyone had for him. The place was packed.. I am pretty sure fire codes were violated..it couldn't have been a better send off for my love. Tonight..I am smiling.

Rawni -> RE: Celebrating His life (1/8/2014 10:09:52 PM)

That is awesome and beautiful. I raised a beer and toasted you both from here. Sending an abundance of love to you, my friend.
