MasterJohnSteed -> Music suggestions for "That" Evening (1/5/2014 5:51:22 AM)

perhaps threads like this have been posted before, but a lady friend who I have been getting to know, is moving into a new apartment on the 17th and has invited me over that evening.

I am quite sure that it will become "Adult" in nature. I told her I would bring over some music for us to listen to.

anyone have suggestion for music for an adult evening at home that might become and adult morning and possibly an adult weekend in the future?

My musical tastes are weird, Classic Rock, Blue Grass, about 1% of rap (Sir Mix a lot, LL Cool J, Will Smith, Beastie Boys) and 1940's swing music, I stopped listening to so called pop music about 2002 I couldn't tell you what is on the top 40 right now to save my life.

You should play my sexy mixtape.

If you do electronic at all, and given some of your interest in hip hop, this would be a potential match. 100th Window by Massive Attack is near perfect. It is also great background music, it does not dominate, har har.

If I'm in a mood to be bad, this album allows that door to slowly open and come about on it's own.

Why not give her a sampling of your tastes? It opens up a little window on where your headspace is in the music you listen to. Only suggestion I'd make is to segue the selections in such a way that it's not jarring, such as hip-hop immediately following some classic rock piece. And nothing that overwhelms the senses, either, you want to be the one doing that. Good luck!

Go for broke:

"R.E. Your Brains" by Jonathan Coulton.

If she's into that you've found a winner.

You should try "Spa Music." It's so refreshing and relaxing!

If it's a romantic evening, then it's going to be light jazz and soft classical music. Turn the lights down low, light a few candles, have a nice dinner together, eventually moving towards the bedroom.

What are her musical tastes?

Presenting her with music you think she will like is not a bad way to go... and if she likes jazzy-type stuff she might love Sade:

(Track 4 is very nice [;)] )

Diana Krall does a nice love ballad as well, for some point down the road.

If you're hoping for a BDSM type of adult evening, I strongly recommend putting "Evil Fantasies" by Judas Priest into the rotation to "drop a hint".

one of my favs atm is Katy Perry and her Unconditional because it encompasses everithing I feel about Domming....

"Leave your hat on" by Joe Cocker.

THAT is the song of the millennium.

Zombie music.

Yeah, that'll get her in the mood.

(It's always been my favorite).
