As for the statement by Megyn Kelly that Jesus was white, anyone who knows history, genetics, and other facts, knows that Jesus being born a Jew in the holy land would give him a dark complexion, sorry but facts are facts. In other words, if you were to see him today on the street, he would look exactly like most middle eastern people, dark, kind of arab looking, and considering the islamaphobia running rampant in this country, be a suspected terrorist. In other words, when he comes back, he better have some heavy duty guardian angles or some right wing fanatic conservative white supremacist that hates Jews, Arabs, basically anyone not white, is gonna try to cap his ass with whatever he has on hand. The bible tells us Jesus was king of the Jews, stands to reason he would be Jewish. By the way, I am catholic, and I know that some christian religions say I am going to hell for being catholic, but I had the same conversation with an Irish priest named father Murphy. While he agreed everything I said was correct, there was no way that all the art depicting Jesus as white was gonna be changed to fit the truth. What is wrong with having a dark skinned Jesus, I mean I didnt get offended at the cartoons of him and god playing golf or a picture a friend of mine painted with Jesus as a surfer...

Jewish don't always mean dark. I know jews with red hair and freckles.

I understand that otter, but we are talking 1st century middle eastern Jews, I dont see many red headed, freckled Jews running around. My point is that the stereotypical "Jesus" is white, dark haired, and definitely European, unless it is an orthodox icon, then he is dark skinned, kinda. Well, dude if the highschool friends unfriended you are from the first century, they probably just dead and the kids gave away their puters to the salvation army. And in our old non-politically correct schooling, we got caucusoid, mongoloid, and negriod. Based upon those delineations, I would call Jeebus and the Clausster white. Where you gonna go with it?

so he may have darker skin than bleach white and ringlet like curls in his hair, may look like Sasha Baron Cohen, lets hope he doesn't act like him. And santa hit my shitlist long time ago, never giving me the exact presents I wanted.

I would have a tough time being friends with someone who was offended by the possibility of Jesus being dark skinned. So what colour was Jesus? Just as no one will ever produce proof for the existence of God, the question of Jesus's colour may always be a matter for personal belief. Was he white, white-ish, olive-skinned, swarthy, dark-skinned or black? There are people who believe he was any one of those shades, but there seem to be only two things about the debate that can be said with any degree of certainty. First - if the past 2,000 years of Western art were the judge, Jesus would be white, handsome, probably with long hair and an ethereal glow. My Jewish ancestry comes from Ukraine and my family contains a whole bunch of freckled red heads including my own mother, her brother, and both of his daughters among many many others.

I see no one commented on how I would like to see Jesus looking when he returns... I mean think of all those holier than thou christians when he shows up wearing a green bay packers t shirt, a UNC ball cap, cargo shorts, talking like that surfer from fast times at ridgemont high, wearing sandals and sporting a marijuana belt buckle. I am sorry but the God of my understanding and his son are pretty laid back and mellow, I mean God kinda sorta cooled out after the smittings in the old testament, and Jesus told everyone to forgive everyone else, hung out with hookers, and he certainly did not have a wall street hair cut.

FR For what I've been told during catechism lessons and "catholic religion" classes in school jesus had always been depicted with the features that community considered "good looking", so if you find an ancient etiopian holy art image he is african, same thing in asia and so on. So egiptian orthodox will probably give a more historical accurate image of him, other people in the middle east tend to not be devoted to jesus, europeans and people converted by europeans will fix on the medieval representation. edit: you could also add a facebook update with: "jesus' dick had no foreskin" and see how many will unfriend you.
