so what people get is unfiltered and in person it helps that i always have a goofy smile attached.

Unfiltered AND you have a goofy smile? I might have to stalk you.

I'm not an arsonist, so no worries on that score. Pointy objects? Well, we'll just talk about that one later.

i figure as long as i limit my getting stabbed quota to under 10 in one lifetime i'm doing fine, still got a way to go so i shouldn't worry but i prefer to leave room for error, after all i do rather enjoy running with scissors.

Don't forget - fingernails are pointy objects too. Well, mine are anyway.

Now see! There's a good start! You're going to be just fine here.

Fast reply.

For what it's worth, I'm not entirely sure that I understand the post. I might have understood it when it had been placed in the Positive Experiences forum *if* it had matched the guidelines there and there was more to the original. One of those things, in fairness to the other parties, would have been to include the original screen name that you had met them under. Another would have been to ensure that they are still members of the site.

What it's become, I'm not sure that I understand, either. Since you're saying it "was" a good ride, does that mean that you are no longer meeting people from the site or leaving it entirely? If it's the latter, I also don't understand the creation of a new screen name for the purpose. When nobody knows who you are, I don't understand the point. I'd completely understand wanting to say good-bye if people are acquainted with you.

With this, OP, would you mind clarifying? If you would tell folks your prior screen name, maybe we'd have a better reference.

the guidelines only said that it "should" contain their screen names so i figured since i was no longer talking to them it would be best if i did not. my post on the "introductions" page i think explains the rest. in short i have been on the other side for a good number of years and at some point(years ago) when the layout was different blocked my pages connection to the forum, i tried logging in through it to the forum and it doesnt work so i made a new one only for the forum so i could post, get into conversations all that lot.

the "goodbye" was to the other side, meaning i was going to give talking to people in the forums a go but i was done meeting people from the dating side of cm, only here for discussions and not a relationship by any means. a sort of transition, i didnt post to the forums from my prior screen name so i dont see how that would tell anyone anything more than my sign-in date, age, and gender.. since i have nothing more posted their than a long winded "not looking" i will pm you from that account if you would really like to know, but i doubt it would provide you with the answers you are looking for. i'm just a fresh face saying goodbye to the other side of cm and trying to get a foot in the door on this side.

and i agree that this discussion makes absolutely no sense when not listed in "positive experiences"... it should probably be closed, but i think only mods can do that.. unless i'm wrong? i honestly don't know.

I'd love to hear the prior screen name. No need to PM. Here on the board is just fine.

now see i offered you a reasonable request, just to gauge how you wish to use that information and you deny it. i would be happy to stick to my original offer, at which point it is up to you or anyone else i have already shared that information with to spread it however you feel necessary to prove your point, but i will not go farther than my original offer when your intentions seem more geared toward rebutal than any intent on kinship.

Either way. I just tend to delete emails from those I don't know, so didn't want that to happen unintentionally.

ok heres an edit than if thats helpful.... it only says"should" though not that its a requirement...

i've had a number of experiences with people i've met here... now many of these people(all) would say that all of said experiences(with everyone but themselves of course) were bad, but i'm an optimist and i wouldnt have ever seen them again if i didn't see the positive:

one who was optimistic(name removed by Moderator) knew since around 2008
one who was exceedingly bright(name removed by Moderator) knew since around 2008
one who had drive(forgot his screename june2012-january2013) knew for a week or 2 before
one who was really good at understanding people(2016-2018... deleted his cm after i left) knew for a couple days before meeting
...

cm has let me meet a wide variety of people, it used to be a lifeline, i've outgrown it now but i will look back with fond memories on the good parts of those assholes which i had the pleasure of associating with :P

Just to clear up the confusion, this post is getting rejected as is, because you are now posting it in off topic. Here in off topic, there is a strict rule of not posting user names, hence the mod edit. If you had posted your revised under positive experiences, it may have actually stood. But you will have to try and see if that works

oh i'm done with the ride, or fishing to keep within metaphor. i was just posting a 'look-back' to some of the best attributes i encountered in people from collarme over the years, the ones that were unique and whom have aspects i respect even if we weren't compatible on any higher basis than understanding each others sense of humor(a rare thing that).

That's not passive aggressive at all. Good luck in your future endeavors.
