Jay, since you're new to BDSM but are questioning whether you are a sub, you should reclassify yourself on your profile to a switch. You've already indicated you are Actively Seeking both D & s-type females. This way you won't mislead a potential play partner who may only scan your stats and automatically delete your message because she doesn't want a male sub. Males greatly outnumber females on this site, and male subs are the largest chunk of that. You are far more likely to get targeted by Pay Princesses/FinDommes, not that they don't go after male switches as well. Most, but not all, Dommes have a hard enough time finding male subs who are fully sub. It doesn't sound as if you're ready for a D/s relationship yet until you've explored more Topping/bottoming experiences. Any label can be misleading, but it is a start, if nothing else. Calling yourself a switch will give you more flexibility in terms of the expectations others may have with the male sub stereotype, buy you some time to sort it out for yourself. A lot can depend on who you partner with, and hopefully things will work out for you and your current sub partner.
