I've been trying to find some info on the sizing of Eternity collars but am having no luck.

Can anyone tell me how much larger than the given neck size the collar should be? Considering that there's no give, it seems like a bit should be added, but there's no info on that in the page, and I don't have any friends that have them.

For example, the base of my neck is just about 15 inches. Higher up it's skinnier. Does that mean I'd be comfortable in a 15 1/4 inch collar? or should I go up to the 16 1/2? It seems like a big jump...

Thanks!

An eternity collar should be made to fit your neck,  A 3 fingers width should fit easily between the flesh and the collar. 1/4 to 1/2 inch should be plenty comfortable.

The folks at eternity collars are fantastic!  Just take a measurement around your neck in inches, and let them know what it is.  They'll tell you what fits you.  And if you get it and don't like how it fits, they'll be happy to exchange it for another size.

I love my eternity collar!! Mine is about 1/2 an inch larger than my neck. But, I don't like tight things around my neck. The founder's girl wore two stacked that fit very snugly. She said it took some time to get used to, but eventually did.

It's a great product and the folks that run it are really good at making sure that you're happy.

I figured e-mailing was the next step if I didn't get answers here.

It's not realy definate that i'm even -getting- one, in fact, it' pretty unlikely, but given how much I like them, and that there's a possibility I'll get one at some future date, I figured it was worth asking.

Can someone tell me what a 'eternity collar' is? Is it the metal hoops that go around the neck and get sealed together? usually silver coloured?
And does it imply that its forever, just like vanilla? But should'nt a collar allways be considered forever?

Do you have to wait till youve had your first kid together or something?
Do you have to be a slave?
What's it for?

It's not a realtionship judgement. It's just a collar from www.eternitycollars.com (I think. Google "eternity collar" and you'll get it). Just a different type of collar.

I'm a collar fetishist. I don't know what other's use it for, but I was planning on wearing it like any collar.

It is just like any other collar... it merely denotes ownership, no different than a leather collar with a buckle in the back. The difference being that the it is styled after those collars used by Turians described in the books of Gor.
I'm guessing they just don't come right out and call them "Turian collars" because of the copyright infringement.

And the supposed -proper- size for one is "loose enough for your Master to put his hand through, but not so loose as to slip over your head".... as in... he can grab it and jerk you around with it, twist it to force you to your knees, etc etc.... if needed.

well wishes,
T.R.

Actually, they were named eternity for the design, referring to jewelry that is a continuous circle. ie: eternity rings. It's also a word that appeals to the D/s crowd as a symbol meaning forever.

This company also sells a large number of collars and cuffs to the 'nilla industrial and goth crowds.

This is what we purchased for our slave and she wears it 24/7. As advised, just e-mail them and they will assist in picking a size. "Twice's" (our slave) collar is roughly 1 1/4" larger than her neck, but I think the size/fit may be something that would be different for each individual. She did mention that it took her about a month to get used to it (particularly when sleeping), they do weigh quite a bit, maybe a pound and did tend to make her neck hurt a bit at the start. But they don't tarnish, they don't catch in her hair, and yes they are quite sturdy and can make for a convenient handle when the mood strikes.
