The Wall Street Journal has had a very conservative view on science for a few decades now (political, NOT, financial). While their focus is on economic and financial matters they have in the past pushed ideas that had very little scientific basis. This article, while informing that the actual document to be published is coming soon, it failed to give the title of the one produced in 2007; that's just bad journalism on display. The 'journalist' covering this story belongs to an organization that refutes the ever growing understanding that 'frakking' has dangerous effects. Not just that, but the environments are often heavily damaged if not utterly destroyed by the process. Go ahead and visit those areas that have been devastated by this technique. While your there, make sure to drink PLENTY of the water. After all, if 'frakking' is environmentally safe, the water should be fine, right?

Doesn't rupert murdoch own the wsj?

Can't dispute the facts, attack the messenger...

If the messenger is a liar should we believe lies?

This is a forum. The purpose of forum is to debate. Believe what you want, but those without facts on their side attempt to stifle debate.

An anonymous poster saying a published reporter/blogger/scienter/whatever is a liar is hardly a creditable impeachment, or a refutation of the argument.

The posters are nowhere near as anonymous at the posted bloggers are, and therefore are as equally a credible impeachment of their factless horseshit as anyone.

Generally stifling the debate takes the form of: "Can't dispute the facts, attack the messenger..." when no facts are in evidence and the ludicrous asswipe spewed is no more than opera bouffee

This is a forum. The purpose of forum is to debate.

Only for those not interested in the truth.
Debate is the art of winning by rhetoric what is not supported by fact.
Those interested in truth prefer discussion

Believe what you want, but those without facts on their side attempt to stifle debate.
No facts were presented in the op only conjecture. Most educated people can tell the difference.
An anonymous poster saying a published reporter/blogger/scienter/whatever is a liar is hardly a creditable impeachment, or a refutation of the argument.

A liar is known by what they say. An anonymous poster simply points it out.

That's what the for-profit crowd does and to an extent what this article does.

However when I read this, I am giving a good thought that the huge riches these people had at stake...:The problem is that numerous IPCC personnel have ties to environmental groups, many of which raise funds by hyping the alleged dangers of climate change. This relationship raises a legitimate question about their objectivity.

Now we all know that these people are racking in $billions and billions and pocketing those donations, so we must trust the API's and the Exxon's of the world ya'know...the benign crowd that we know are truly objective and concerned for our environment.

So you do admit the left is intentionally destroying America. It really doesn't matter the speed with which one plunges over the cliff as it's the plunge that really matters. It's what kills you.
Carry on!

Technically it's usually the abrupt stop at the bottom that kills you, not the plunge over the cliff. [8D]

MORE TECHNICALLY, its not the abrupt stop at the bottom that kills you, its the body's reaction to the sudden stop that kills you.
